Leaving my 8th AAJA with the same level of gratitude, energy, and love as I did after my very first.

This year brought a new perspective: truly being present. Catching up with friends, creating new bonds, and showing the way to first-time attendees.

For the first-timers especially, it’s a priceless thing watching those new lifelong friendships begin to blossom right in front of you.

What’s always rung true is that this family I found has encouraged me to be myself. They’ve championed me. They’ve cheered for me. They’ve had my back when I needed it most.

And being around them this week, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I’m right where I’m supposed to be. With people who push you to be your best and know the storm will pass with the brightest skies imaginable.

Because of this group, I am who I proudly am today, and I can’t wait to carry that into the next chapter.

Thank you to the Twin Cities 🏙️ See you in the Bay! ✌🏽

I recently had an exciting week at AAJA26 with the support of @aaja_syracuse in Minneapolis, Minnesota! With my first (actual) trip to the midwest, I'd never expected the trip to be a lesson in mentorship, empowerment, and leadership. During the conference, I attended a variety of panels focused on important local and national coverage, as well as my interest in audio. There's so much I plan to bring forward into the next school year that I couldn't have learned without this conference. Big thanks to @gunjanssilwal @gracemccloskey.news @tsengofaidan and @chloeepusey for being the best syracuse student buddies during the conference, as well as @aajaofficial for running the whole event. Can't wait to go to AAJA27 in San Francisco next year a bit closer to home!

Year three - called four state title games, broadcasted from an NBA arena, four games in a minor league park, and got my first job at the college level. Super lucky and appreciate for these opportunities and the people I have around me!

Last week was an amazing week of broadcasting including 5 games at the MLK Classic, Ava Huffman's 1,000 point game, Savannah Knueven tying a PG record, Karsyn Erford becoming the OG Lady Titan's all time leading scorer, calling a game from the Cavs arena, and it ended with a rivalry game between PG and Bluffton where Chase Meyer scored a career high in points! So blessed to be able to broadcast all of these amazing things!

108 days of football season from Pandora-Gilboa starting the season off right with a win to St. Henry grabbing football state title 45 for the MAC. Couldn't have asked for a better guy to call both games with than Mike Hirn either. There's no better job in the world than calling football!
