Women’s History Month Series: Faces of Feminism

This Women’s History Month I’ve decided to do a series celebrating women, our iconic history and immense growth. We are living in unprecedented times, an era in which we are the strongest we’ve ever been, yet under the most intense attack. With our lives and our rights being threatened- what feels like daily and with every turn - it can be easy to forget to appreciate all the progress we’ve made.

We live in a time where we see and celebrate beauty everywhere. One where we encourage individuality, uniqueness and self expression. As women we have choices, we have autonomy. Even in the face of adversity, we come together as a community, we celebrate each other and we rise above. We have been raised by “strong female leads.” We have watched our heroes crash through glass ceilings. Women like Rose McGowan, Cassie Ventura, Meg Thee Stallion, Jeanette McCurdy… the list goes on… The Silence Breakers. They showed us strength and beauty in truth. Icons like Ashley Graham, Queen Latifah and Rihanna have broken societal molds, demanding respect and acknowledgement. The women we grew up admiring have taught us to fill up rooms and stand tall.

The look I created on Ciarra is one that reflects my own inner child. A child who dreamt of growing up and creating my own kind of fierce - too often not realizing I didn’t have to be older to live that life.

In my opinion, women are the most wonderful, magical, fascinating beings on this planet. We are the source of life, the stewards of prosperity. Please journey with me this month, learning about our history, finding inspiration in it, in ourselves, in each other.

I hope Ciarra’s look makes you smile.
I hope it inspires you to look at something differently.

Day 3 of perfecting my makeup 🤍

I used to apply my lashes while the glue was still wet, and they never stayed quite right.

Now I apply a thin layer of glue to the lash and my lash line, then wait for it to get tacky before placing them and they sit so much better and last longer ✨
