ACTION INSPIRES INSPIRATION

when youre stumped or feeling lost, the best way forward is to just do.

make one drum pattern or one bassline or one melody…
it wont be long before your back to full on flow

This mentality has helped me get through creative slumps many times

I used it to make this remix on Too Long Records and ended up loving what I made

its on all platforms now… take a listen and DM me if youre feeling it ❤️

I STARTED THIS REMIX OUTSIDE ☀️

back in the summer, I would take my MPC to the park and make some beats.

My fave park is Trinity here in Toronto.

Lots of people around.. great vibe all the time.
Its a good atmosphere to make beats

So on this day, I made this beat and about a month later the Too Long crew asked me to do a remix for them.
It was a remix of ‘Pick It’ by Side B and Will Taylor.

I loved their track and the parts were great with alot of elements to work with..

I still loved this beat from the park, but I hadnt progressed with it yet since that day.
So I slapped the ‘Pick It’ elements in the MPC and everything fit just right!

I worked the groove for awhile more and later arranged the stems in Ableton after some more processing

Im really happy with how it turned out.. to the point I start all my beats on the MPC. Its a full turn around from my old way of working

and by the way, I looooove this Too Long crew. Its just cool to work with them on a different level. The scene needs more prople like them.
If you dont know, they throw the dopest parties in Milan…. Im really grateful I had so many amazing mornings playing their parties … and the food they took us for ! JEEZ!
my fave still being the sandwich truck outside the party at 9/10am. Incredible moments

anyway Im rambling now

The full EP is on Beatport right now with all the streaming hitting those platforms on Friday

take a listen and DM me if youre feelin it

Both of these are out on all platforms today.

‘0084’ on @12plus1london ’s Numers Vol XVIII, a minimal roller built around two contrasting vocals that lock into a tight, hypnotic groove.

And ‘Push The Whip EP’ on @toolong_records two minimal cuts built for the floor.
