A quiet morning well spent at @taohoutdoorgallery, taking in the latest art. I found a lot of peace, especially with the new pieces created for the @pieceforpeace_movement. ✌️🎨

Plenty more coming. — Part 1 of 3.

🎨✨ What. A. Weekend. ✨🚲 We kicked off our full ArtWalks CLT lineup with a colorful homeschool mural tour on Friday, then walked the Gold District for the First Friday Gallery Crawl with @tiyacaniel in South End 🎉🖼️. Saturday brought the heart with our Art is for Everyone tour for our low-to-no-vision community 💛👣 with @traveling_gypsy and poet Ann Burris, and we wrapped it all up Sunday with a mural bike ride celebration with @clt_urbanists for National Biking Day! 🚴‍♀️🌈

So much art, so many smiles, and the perfect mix of movement and creativity! Swipe through to see some of the magic 💫

Special thanks to @littlebirdmitzi for the invite for Friday and @traveling_gypsy for hosting our visit to @taohoutdoorgallery for the bike tour. And to our amazing partner @drrclt for the audio descriptions on Saturday! And to @southendclt for the invite for First Friday Gallery Crawl!

In 2021 I did my first walk with @artwalksclt and became obsessed with everything it stood for. Ironically it was with @arko.clt too(insert fan girl squeal) here we are in 2024 still loving every second of it. Support local arts and artist ALWAYS!

Also @luvlymoon_ gifted these spray cans which will now be one of my most prized possessions 🥰

🖌️ This super cool new mural was created by artists @dead_folks and @toonsbeforetime! @dead_folks said “this mural was creative freedom for me and Scott (@toonsbeforetime)” and you can tell they had fun with it! Make sure to go check it out.

📍This week’s mural can be found between Brevard and N. Davidson right after 25th Street along greenway.

Despite the super hot temps, EdgeFest was a success! This 3rd annual event expanded this year to not only showcase artists with live painting, but spoken word, a fashion show, dance, creative vendors, and so much more!
I may have fangirled when meeting @natalierobinson_art (who was super nice) and @dead_folks (also very friendly). Awesome meeting @imhereforplants_ and @skribble_mix_studios and also seeing familiar faces from years past.
Loved being neighbors with @katrina.pinkclouds.art too and thanks to @nodabrewing for kindly hosting the event.
Thanks to @queen_city_cold_as_ice for helping keep cool 🙌🏼
Ginormous thank you to the phenomenal woman (Kathleen) who founded the non-profit @cltstreetartcollab which holds this event. She tirelessly advocates for artists and is always the best hype woman.
Please follow @cltstreetartcollab for more information on events, educational workshops and more!
By supporting this organization, you can have a direct impact on the lives of artists in your local area. 🎨
LMK in the comments what your favorite part of the festival was?

This time last year my friends @morganpaterwich and @dlkernodle presented me with the greatest gift I have ever received. For almost an entire year and for reasons unbeknownst to me, these two followed me around with cameras and documented my journey. I still can’t quite wrap my head around it a year later. I’m typically not one to talk too much about my struggles, my art, or the processes behind it so this was pretty uncomfortable territory for me. But that’s the only way we can actually grow…to charge head first into those unfamiliar/uneasy spaces.
And I am so so so thankful that I did.
Morgan and David,
I’ll never be able to thank you enough for believing in me the way you both did and for devoting the time that you did to make this short film happen. I am eternally grateful for it, but even more so for the new friendships that developed because of it.
And to each and everyone of you who took the time to come to the premiere and show this dude some love, or simply watched and shared with your friends…
THANK YOU!
I really really love you guys.

If you haven’t had a chance to watch the film yet, the link is in the bio.

💜
