ROUND THREE: The Forgotten Show
“It is far better to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure…than to rank with those poor souls who neither enjoy nor suffer much, because they live in a gray twilight that knows not victory nor defeat.” @islandfights @saintcharlesmma #undefeated

ROUND TWO: The Forgotten Show
The real flex isn’t the win. It’s my grit. It’s the part where I kept showing up when no one was watching. When the only applause was my own heavy breath. The goal was never a win streak, it was turning into the kind of person who doesn’t flinch, who never folds. I have drive, delusion, & a spine made of fire. My win? It’s knowing that I’m the storm & wherever I roam in Amateur or Pro, I bring the thunder. ⛈️ @islandfights @saintcharlesmma
Thank you @davidvanauken for your commentary. I’ve been the challenger for most of my combat sports career, so it means a lot to hear your compliments on my recent performance. Your feedback only gave me more motivation to keep striving for improvements. Thank you to my Striking Coach @raccoonjimmy23 for loudly leading me through the second round. I finally mentally connected to your voice & you can clearly see the difference that had on my output. We will keep building that trust in each other. Thank you @kincadeian & @top_tiermt for the clutch collaborative cornering efforts. You are a proven ally & for that I am grateful. HUGE THANKS to my BJJ Coach @travisdrapermma 🥋 My manager & Head Coach @noconightmaremma 🫶🏽 Boss Man @coolmike_scmma 🫡 My Teammates @_rileywhalen_ @playboy_duncan @goosereiter @runakothesavage 🥷🏽 for the countless hours of wrestling, grappling & clinching with all the situational drills. You are a BIG PART of the reason why I have gotten so much better in those disciplines. Let’s end the year UNDEFEATED!!!

ROUND ONE: The Forgotten Show
“Embrace the unknown & let life surprise you. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just gotta keep moving with purpose.“ @islandfights 🏝️ Shoutout to my opponent @dacey_sl8 for the tough fight! You came at me hard in the first round & managed to temporarily throw off my confidence. I had to make several adjustments in the 2nd & 3rd rounds in order to win a Split Decision victory. I also want to thank @raccoonjimmy23 for all his patience cornering in the first round because your girl was NOT FN listening. 🤦🏽‍♀️😭 Just spamming kicks with no set ups. I got it together though in the end! Continuous improvement is better than delayed perfection yah feel me?! 🥷🏽 #SCMMA

The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion. #TakeUpSpaceLadies @islandfights #SCMMA

PT 3- This season is richly abundant, you’ve made room for this. Now let it flow, let it feed you. Let it spill over into victory! @islandfights @officialwalkoutmedia

People only see the decisions you make, not the choices you had. To fuck around is human; to find out is divine. ✨ @islandfights @raccoonjimmy23 @top_tiermt @officialwalkoutmedia @saintcharlesmma @kincadeian

I train after work.
I cut weight on a bathroom scale.
I pay my own gym fees.
I drive myself to a rec center or a back room that smells like mop water.
Then I walk out and give and receive brain damage so drunk people can cheer and a promoter can make money off me.

That’s the setup.
I don’t pretend it isn’t.
But that’s not what I leave with.
When I win, something locks in.
Not the trophy.
Not the applause that dies on the ride home.

The feeling that I did what I said I would do.
That I stood there, scared, tired, and still found a way.
That version of me walks taller the next morning.
Meetings feel smaller.
Problems feel quieter.
I stop asking if I belong and start acting like I do.
When I lose, it hurts. Of course it hurts.
You don’t eat shots and miss the finish and then shrug it off like it was nothing.

But I get something else out of it.
I find out I can take a bad night and still show up on Monday.
I find out a loss doesn’t erase me.
It just tells me exactly where I’m soft, and then I go fix it.
That’s resilience.
You don’t get that from winning every time.
You get it from getting dropped and standing back up with your name still yours.

The crowd can cheer.
The promoter can get paid.
Fine.
I get the win that makes me believe I can do hard things.
I get the loss that proves I can survive them.
That’s why I keep walking in.

I told my camera guy I didn't even want a video for this fight.
I purposely didn't seek out sponsors for this fight like I had before.
I didn't post on social media for this fight.

I was in too much pain for anything to matter.
The wound is still fresh.
I lost my father to heart failure on July 24th 2026.

He knew he was dying.
I knew he was dying.
He signed a DNR.

He died on his own terms with a cigarette in hand, his oxygen saturation dropped into the 50s during one of his smoke breaks at the rehab he was staying at.

Hospice called me and said I might want to get down there.
I hopped on my motorcycle and was speeding all the way to get there in time.

He was unconscious by the time I arrived. His breathing had this terrible sound which I found out is called the death rattle.

It's almost like he waited for me, because less than 10 minutes after I got there I watched him take his last breath.

He wanted to move to a different facility, and he didn't even last a full 24 hours there.

I miss him a lot.

I'm fine most days because I'm good at keeping myself distracted, but when things slow down, memories start playing in my head and if I start to listen to old voicemails or look at pictures it gets difficult.

Unlike my mothers death, I knew his was coming soon, so I was able to mentally prepare for it. So In a way it was easier. In other ways it was harder, because it was a period of almost 8 years where it was like I was grieving somebody while they were still alive.

Rest in peace to my father David. 🕊️

Thanks to my team at Top Tier, Kru Ian and Coach Charles, the countless sparring and training sessions with other team mates as well as priceless advice, my friends at Southern Soul, the Garshasbs and I'm sure I'm forgetting some people too but they know who they are, or they don't have socials.

This is just the beginning, I'm only 33. I've got time.
