The first Gauchoworld Day brought our corner of Hackney to life. From the morning run to the market stalls, chess tables and Platinum Sounds, you came through and made it your own. ARTIST INTRO @topazgemz 💎 Lara (27) from Hackney, London joined us at Fashion for Freedom to ice up our teeth and remind us about the joy of smiling🦷 Her talent and generosity helped us to raise money for The Linda Norgrove Foundation! Q: ◦ What does your creativity mean to you? It gives me life, which in turn gives life to others. My tooth jewellery is a depiction of the sparks of light we all are. It’s easy to forget our true essence - My creativity is a reminder. It encourages us to smile which releases hormones that make us feel happier! ◦ What are your hopes for the future in art? I hope for us all to be blessed with the mental and physical freedom to create.

[FOUNDER DUMP] Spending this month’s @ctrlncreate dump reflecting on how much of a blessing it’s been to support and nurture 20 women navigating the creative industry! April was launch month and we got shit done FR. So proud of all my girls and grateful for my partners @sondrinc ⭐️ 2-4: Bi-weekly virtual community drop in sessions for the girlies. It’s always so wholesome and NEEDED! 5-7: Some of the girls and I got invited to a preview of the @sinnersmovie, grateful to my girl @tobikyere for plugging us 8: @nicolagaea and I stamped @ctrlncreate on the streets of Camden loool 9-10: I’m getting back on TikTok!!!! New content coming through this month supported by @cherriebroll 11: I’ve been facilitating the interview process for one of my @ctrlncreate girls to get hired and work with an international client for the rest of the year. Sooo exciting. Sharing more on this soon. 12-17: IRL launch of @ctrlncreate at our GIRLS WHO GET IT event…we ate, that’s it! + thank you to my girls @tobikyere & @jehosafeen for sharing the panel with me! 18-19: Virtual event for my @ctrlncreate USA queennnsss, love yewwww so wholesome and cute. 20: I’ve been working on our graphic design for social content with @tryingtodographism and our logo with @mariapearly, the graphic design will be rolled out real soon and the logo is HERE.
