Kicking off our cast announcements, we have the amazing Kyra Calaway as “Ed”! The underdog, the scholarship kid, the odd man out on the football team - but does he have hidden claws of his own?

KYRA CALAWAY is a performer and producer based in NYC. She is one of the co-founders of Topcat LLC (@topcatllc ), which has invested in numerous Broadway shows including “A Doll’s House”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Redwood”, “SMASH”, and “Good Night and Good Luck”. Recent credits include the short films “The Captives” (Heavy Shovel Productions), “But I’m Your Brother” (Sogbots), and “Needle Road” (dir. Mark Blaine) and podcasts “Zero Initiative: Curse of Strahd” (@0_initiative ) and the 3x nominated LA Webfest pick “The Town With No Name” (@sommer.stories ).

Hello! Hello! Hello!

I had a fantastic time with my first time in LA! Doing LA Webfest was a blast. To be in a room with so many people and creatives who also love to do what I’ve been working on these past few years has been quite an amazing experience. Thank you, thank you, thank you to the @topcatllc team for making this all possible.

And now for a caption speedrun:

1. Feeding off the hotness that is @emily_beets so that I can look somewhat attractive for this event. I’m not joking. Everyone complimented her at the festival like I was chopped liver. Deservedly so though. She’s like a stick of dynamite who made a wish to become human. How lucky am I?
2. My life force. The people who trust that the weird thoughts I think throw us to thunderous thuctheth.
3. Me speaking into a mic. But I see you figured that one out.
4. KYRA! My ride or die! Get yourself a creative partner with at least half the brains as this woman. Without her, there is no Sommer Stories, there is no Sam Sommer the writer/director, and there is no D&D campaign we’re about to start playing.
5. Emily & I went to Disney. Okay, fine! I did feel magical. Whatever.
