This week I stood by hundreds of colorectal cancer advocates from around the country to show congress why colorectal cancer, the number one cancer inflicting young adults, should have dedicated research funding.

Yes, you read that correctly - despite being one of the most common types of cancer, no government funding is directly allocated to colorectal cancer research.

We spent this day advocating not only for ourselves, but for future generations that will be touched by this disease.
