FLUX / SIGNAL 001 — @toppobrillo

The first transmission of FLUX / SIGNAL, Ambient flux’s new series in collaboration with @laceradio , is now live on Mixcloud.

For this opening edition, toppo brings together an experimental selection moving between abstract electronics, unconventional rhythms, musique concrète and atmospheric soundscapes. Spanning recordings from the late 1980s to the present, the mix explores different approaches to sound, where texture, form and experimentation take precedence over genre.

Listen now on Mixcloud.

Playing with sounds for some #ambient and #textures I love #music #synthesizer just a light. I don’t think too much of it

Today's mess, even worse than yesterday. :-)

Same stuff as yesterday's post (which see for excruciating details) on the Eurorack side (and still using Context for reverb), with the addition of:
- Ekdahl Moisturizer (my fave device name ever) on the second Aux bus, using both the reverb and filter
- Moon on an additional stereo channel, fed by two sets of combined gates from Cascading Register, plus CV from the 281t quadrature outputs
- Stereo Field, using the line outs from the modular and going to a third stereo channel

POV: stuck in the wall in East Oaklamd at a @malocculsion tour rehearsal. Debuting two two songs 🔥❤️ two week tour across Japan opening for the mighty @yama.uba.music. Thanks in advance to all the amazing people friends old and new who made this possible. Pinching myself. Going to be bringing the heaviest and most focused set to date for these shows. T minus 48 hours till liftoff!

(Feel free to ignore this if you're not a huge n synth nerd like me.) A better Benjolin patch, I think, using r2rawr as the DAC for the Rungler, but without all the VCAs (which I may add next). This time it's all contained within this case. Only 5 modules if you don't count the mult.

I put together a tentative system for experimenting with cybernetic/chaotic patches. This is my first attempt at a Benjolin patch. Not sure if it's really "correct" but it seems to have most of the right characteristics. Mostly Sport Modulator 2 + Cascading Register + VnIcursal VCA; filter is QPAS (out of frame). I will probably slim it down to just the Rungler for reuse.
