One last alt flyer by the great @toputitnicely Okay been thinking about Philly Cheeseskate Fest and we really try not get on our high horse but after a week of Rivian ads and SXSW discourse and then them taking down our Smash By flyer, figured fuck it we can chat a bit. PCS has always been the weekend after SXSW. This is very much intentional. It would be easier to book a fest during SXSW because there are so many touring bands coming through and tourists and whatever visiting Austin. But, we wanted to create something for the locals and not the yuppie fucks. Consider this fest a part of Smash by Smash West (we would send em a collab invite but their account’s ability to do collabs has been put on timeout by SXSW) as we consider it an alternative to the corporate greed that takes over every March. This fest is always DIY with no sponsors and nobody to answer to except for the people buying tickets. We take no money from the fest, price tickets as low as possible and all profits go to bands. I’m sure it’s hard for IBM and whatever AI brand to understand but everything we do is for love of the game. We love Austin, TX and can’t wait to y’all Saturday. five years ago this week, we did our first baby practice. before we knew what we were capable of, and before we knew what we would do, we started in a brick building jamming close to new year’s. since then, it has been such an incredible ride. so many unbelievable things have happened to us and we never anticipated anything remotely close to what we’ve accomplished. we are so proud of everything we’ve done. we are eternally grateful to everyone who has shared a stage with us, who has listened to our music, and has been a friend along the way. without you, none of this would’ve ever been possible! from one of our first practices to our first music video to our first show - photo by @jagwiremedia to our first run with @gilliancarterband to our first album at @hiddenaudio912 - both photos by @davidperezpictures and much more - with a couple photos by @matthewzagorski as we’ve mentioned previously, we are taking a step back in 2025. we have a lot of stuff we’re working on individually, and also in our personal lives that make the level at which THGTC was operating a bit unsustainable. it was admittedly very demanding no matter how much we loved it, and we’re excited to recontextualize our relationship with what we’re doing. that being said, we have gifts. we have some leftover merch from this year and it is priced to get it the hell out of our practice space!!!! shirts! sweatshirts! camo hats! 2xCDs that have EVERY SONG WE’VE EVER RECORDED! INCLUDING COVERS! and more! grab something you like grab it for a friend, too, if you can it’s all up on bandcamp now!! we’re gonna take our time off the road to work on writing some new stuff, and hopefully finish a new record! getting rid of all this merch will help make sure we have some 💵 to record when the time comes we look forward to the future and can’t wait to see you all again soon swipe for photos and memes :) see you soon be safe love you P.S. keep up with all our other projects at the following: @rosemarynodsuponthegrave @pitlocust @lash.meat @hotplaterock @palmetto_slug
