Cluedo Challenge 🕵🏻‍♀️

I’m so excited to have joined the @oldskoolchallengeclub as I used to LOVE a bookstack/flatlay challenge when I first joined insta. It’s taken me a few weeks to get my ass into gear and take part but I can’t wait to see what they come up with each week.

Here’s what I came up with for the cluedo challenge

🕵🏻‍♀️ Who? The Cruel Prince
🕵🏻‍♀️ Where? At the Faraway In
🕵🏻‍♀️ With? Belladonna

Tagging a few people to take part. Please tag me back jf you have a go so I can see what you come up with💛

Book Tour Review

Coffin Moon by Keith Rosson
4⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A story that is as dark and creepy as the front cover suggests. Coffin Moon is a vampire tale, but one that is different to anything I have read before.

The writing is rich. I felt as though I was right there with the protagonist, Duane. I could almost see, hear and feel what was going on in his pub.

The pace is slow. It's not a horrifying, gruesome read. Instead it's a dark and mysterious horror novel. One that reels you in as events slowly unfold.

A really atmospheric read with superbly interesting characters.

August Book Club Meeting💌

Tonight was our August book club meeting and we had some great conversations about The Correspondent by Virginia Evans Thank you @imans_journal @amylostinbooks @torchlight.reader & @sneaky__reader for joining @char_reads_ & @jacks_broken_hearts_club to discuss this month’s pick🥰

We had a great chat about the book: the epistolary format of the book and how this affected our reading experience, how Sybil’s letter writing affected her relationships, and our favourite people she corresponded with. We also talked about how special it can feel to receive handwritten letters, penpals and authors we would write letters to, Sybil-style.

At the end of the meeting we were joined by @ashleigh.reads.books and we played some bingo roulette ahead of our autumn board being released 🍁

Our next book club meeting will be on Monday 28th September. Hope to see you there x
