Scarlet Early - Breathe

Summer 2025, life in London was all work and hedonism. The party had to stop, work had to stop. I had to escape from my escapism. Hibernating in my childhood home in Cornwall, I wrote Breathe, my anthem of reflection. I stepped outside of the world I built in London, exploring the duality of urban and country life, adult and childhood worlds, the expectations of work and party culture. The egotistical sense of shame and importance which built my prison was laid bare.

Breathe came to life: A club kid office worker finds themselves lost in the forest, fragments of their life lay in the forest in the bags they carry.

By letting the train pass through, let the demands hit voicemail, nurturing the soul as a snapdragon seed will a change complete, and a new era begin.

A massive debt of gratitude goes to the following angels:

@toricalderia for shooting, editing and codirecting this project.
@groovecatcheruk for the amazing vocal and instrumental and post production work - as on all Scarlet Early tracks to date
@chapelvvein for the gorgeous garment in the liminal space
@elleakousa for composing the bridge and final chorus

The Band

The making of this album was really special. Once I had collected the songs and felt like I had a record- thankyou @dmarthurgram for helping me realise I had it all along, I set out to find the best way of recording it. I knew I wanted it to be recorded live with a band and in one room (as much as possible) I wanted to capture some of that spontaneous energy you get when playing live. I was introduced to @liamblueshart and @the_sierra_band (@_lov3drums_ @ollieroscoehop @barnyjones ) by @howiepaynemusic. It felt like a good fit- they understood the references; Muscle Shoals, Joe Cocker but not pastiche. @dmarthurgram was in of course and @peterproducer invited the brilliant @hendokeys , @izzibard @sorenbryce, @felicityandhermusic and @toricaldeira. The core team was complete. I feel really lucky to have had such a brilliant group of people who are not only talented and skilled but bloody excellent humans as well. It may be cliché but it takes a village to make a record. 💛

Shout out to @peterproducer for taking these pics as well as producing the whole record!!!

Kernow Ow Thre / Cornwall My Home - OUT NOW

A reimagining of this Cornish anthem 🎶

These are some of my favourite shots captured by @toricaldeira that made it to the music video, available on my YouTube 🎥

Can you recognise any of the coastal locations in the full music video? Clue: we started in the South East and went all the way around the coast!
