POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Yesterday we spoke to Tori who is a freshman at Wichita State this fall studying Psychology.

Tori’s favorite things about college so far…

‘Meeting new people. I really like getting to meet everybody. It's a lot bigger of a setting than high school, so I feel like you get to connect with people that are your age, older, and even sometimes younger. I've met some great younger people here and we really have a mutual understanding of what we want to accomplish here. There are some nice people on my floor where I live, and we all hang out and play card games. I also really like my classes. I think one of my favorites has to be my cognitive psychology class. It feels like I really understand everything!’

Tori’s advice for HHS seniors as they embark on their final year of high school...

‘Take everything in and don't go too fast! You might want to be done with high school, but you don't want it to go by too quickly! You don’t have much time left altogether with your friends, so savor those last moments. You don’t know where you will all end up next year.’

Why does Tori think seniors should apply for The Humboldt Promise?

‘Because it can bring you so many different opportunities. Financially it really helps me, but I also get to explore other options for my future in terms of continuing my education… possibly even postgraduate study!’

You're off to a great start, Tori. Enjoy your freshman year and take it all in!

yesterday felt like one of those days you wish you could bottle up and keep forever. every moment, every detail, every in-between second—it all just came together so effortlessly.

so thankful for each of you who stepped in front of my camera. and a huge thank you to beth barlow for the most beautiful space to create in—it truly set the tone for everything.

senior season is right around the corner… if you’ve been thinking about booking, this is your sign. i’m so ready to keep creating and tell even more of your stories ✶
