A week ago, I boarded a plane expecting to serve. Today, I’m home realizing how much I was changed instead.

This was my first missions trip, and I don’t think words can fully capture what God did in my heart through the people I met, the children I got to spend time with, and the moments that stretched and strengthened my faith.

The kids I met brought so much joy to every day. Their laughter, kindness, and excitement made an impact on me that I’ll never forget. I went to Kenya hoping to love and encourage them, but they ended up teaching me just as much.

I witnessed joy that wasn’t dependent on circumstances, faith that was unwavering, and a community that welcomed us with open arms. Through every conversation, every game played, every worship service, and every smile, God reminded me that His love knows no borders.

Kenya taught me far more than I could have ever taught others. I’m leaving with a fuller heart, a greater love for God’s people, and memories I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Thank you, Kenya, for welcoming me, challenging me, and showing me a glimpse of what God is doing around the world. I’ll never be the same. 🇰🇪❤️
