If I could fly, I’d be coming right back home to you♡

We’re still in awe from the love that we received & are still receiving from everyone. It’s such a testament to what we’ve built together and want to continue building.

There are so many people to thank but I want to start at the base of everything with thanking the vendors & the people who helped make the day happen.

Thank you to Kortney Lutter, for going above and beyond as a photographer. She is so helpful, did everything & more we asked, and even got sneak peaks to us that night. (I was sobbing at our after party looking at them, it didn’t help I was severely sleep deprived and many whiskey sours deep).

My wonderful boss, Megan, who is so much more than just a boss, allowed us to use her and her husband’s beautiful home as the place for our ceremony. Even with the wind and cold, they helped make it the most perfect day ever. They are people who will go to extreme lengths to help the people they love and that’s exactly what they did for us.

For our reception, Andy, Angie, and the amazing team at Torrent Brewing were incredible. From the moment we approached them asking to host our reception, they were incredible every step of the way, ensuring every detail was perfect. I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else that night celebrating with all of the people we love.

DJ Jason at Crown King Entertainment was great, had the music running so smoothly, and was a great addition to the night.

For dinner, Mike at Comfort Food Catering was perfect and the food was absolutely incredible(we’re so glad we have some leftovers to eat this week hehe)

My bestie, Kayla, was my personal attendant and was more so the wedding’s personal attendant. I know every single person saw her working her ASS off running around. The wedding wouldn’t have been what it was without her.

Something Blue helped me pick out my dress and then did all of the alterations. They calmed many anxieties throughout the planning process. And Milroy’s for Tristan’s tux was equally as wonderful throughout the entire process too!

Thank you to my team at Heroic Hair for helping me and my girls get ready, having you with me that morning was wonderful.

The party doesn’t stop at the Bandshell. Torrent Brewing Company will be donating 50¢ of every pint sold after the concert tonight to the Cyclone Marching Band! In addition to their wide selection of brews they also have non-alcoholic sodas, hand-crafted pizzas, and pretzels the size of a Sousaphone!

See you there tonight!

Come to the Ames Music Walk on Thursday, September 17. There are many amazing bands, so make sure to walk around, but once you’re done, come into @torrentbrewing and listen to @hannahleenana and I play from 5-8. It’ll be a good time! For my AHS friends, it is a bar, but you can come in and drink the amazing root beer with an adult or guardian. I hope to see you there!

One of the most satisfying things about being a local artist is seeing my work out in the community. 🤩

I’ve been so grateful to have a collection of my mixed media collages hanging at @torrentbrewing They’ve been incredibly supportive of local artists, and I’m thankful they’ve opened their walls to my work. 🥰

If you find yourself there, take a few extra minutes to wander the gallery wall. If a piece speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you. And while you’re there, grab a drink and support a local business that truly invests back in its community. 🍻

Thank you to everyone who has stopped to look, shared a kind word, sent me a selfie in front of the wall (so fun!) or supported my art. And a special thank you to @torrentbrewing for believing that great drinks and local art make a pretty fantastic pairing. ❤️

Yesterday, Leadership Ames Class #39 celebrated Small Business Day by exploring the businesses, organizations, and leaders that make our community thrive. From local entrepreneurs and innovators to downtown favorites and community partners, the day was a great reminder of why Ames is such a special place to live, work, and lead. Thank you to all of the businesses that helped make this day possible!
