ALPHA PHI ALPHA FRATERNITY, INC. | ALPHA RHO CHAPTER | VALOROUS 23

Founded on December 4, 1906, at Cornell University, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is the first intercollegiate Greek-letter fraternity established for African American men. Built upon the principles of manly deeds, scholarship, and love for all mankind, the fraternity has cultivated generations of leaders dedicated to academic excellence, brotherhood, and service. Chartered on January 5, 1924, at the historic Morehouse College, the Alpha Rho Chapter carries forward this distinguished legacy, developing men of character, purpose, and leadership while upholding the rich traditions of both Alpha Phi Alpha and Morehouse College.

On November 2, 2021, the Valorous 23 crossed into the Alpha Rho Chapter, establishing a brotherhood rooted in courage, resilience, unity, and an unwavering commitment to excellence. Their name embodies the strength and determination that define their collective journey. As they commemorate their fifth anniversary in 2026, the Valorous 23 celebrate five years of brotherhood, personal growth, and service. Their commemorative shirts, created by BarriersWorldWide , honor this milestone and symbolize a bond that transcends time, reflecting their enduring commitment to the principles of Alpha Phi Alpha and the distinguished legacy of Alpha Rho.

He’s undefeated in the ring (18-0, 10 KOs) and just as fearless on the trail. 🏆🏁

WBC Featherweight World Champion Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington pulled up to Canawi ATV Tour and rode through the paradise of Canaries, St. Lucia with us — and what he said afterward said it all. 🙌

Champions chase new adventures too. 🌴.

We brought the music industry together for its first-ever No. One party at our #BMIAtlanta’s new office location, celebrating three chart-topping songwriters and the hits that helped define their milestone moment. The event honored @ayyechic and @DerrickMilano, the songwriters behind the BTS hit “Swim,” along with @iamWorldwidefresh, who penned “Ever Since U Left Me” for French Montana and Max B. 🎶1️⃣💙

The celebration marked an exciting moment for the Atlanta creative community, shining a spotlight on rising hitmakers earning their first No. One honors. During the party, @Shure gifted each creative with a commemorative #1 Songwriter microphone in recognition of their chart-topping success.

Special shoutout to our sponsors @Patrón and @Shure!

For 34 years, I have tirelessly labored in this brotherhood we call Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. I have never been inactive. Never non-financial. Always working, always serving, in some capacity.

Servant leadership is not something I adopted. It is all I know.
It is all I have ever done.

Over these 34 years, I have coined two truths that continue to guide me:

Only you can determine the type of Alpha you will be.
And
Every man must stand on his own two feet.

Alpha has given me more than I could ever repay: discipline, brotherhood, structure, opportunity, and the responsibility to lead with integrity. It has sharpened me, stretched me, and strengthened me.

I am grateful for all that Alpha Phi Alpha has taught me and instilled in me. This Fraternity has helped develop the man I am today and I remain indebted, not in obligation, but in purpose to continue developing others.

The work continues. 06!
