Driving through the Pentecost River with the Cockburn Ranges rising up in the distance is pretty hard to beat.

Happy tears were shed today! Seeing our home on wheels arrive was a big moment! Last time we seen her was 10 weeks ago in Darwin 😭
We are beyond grateful to those that got it back to us ♥️

📍 Wallumbilla, QLD 🌾🐄

10 days spent visiting the Yorke’s on their farm, where they grow oats, wheat, chickpeas and canola alongside their cattle. We were lucky enough to be there around harvest time, which gave us an insight and run down on how it all works.

Hot days reaching 35°, campfires in the evenings, a bevvy in hand, hunting and some seriously mint sunsets. 🌅 There’s just something about a country sunset that makes life feel a little more magical.

Slow days, good company, dusty roads and plenty of time to switch off. Feeling pretty grateful for this little slice of country life 🤎

We reckon it’s definitely in the running.

We scored the prime spot right on Dog Chain Creek, complete with our own little patch of river and the rope swing.

I’ll admit, the water looked pretty crocy to me 🐊 but we’d been told it was safe for swimming… so we were straight in.

And it’s relatively close to Bell Gorge, making it a pretty epic spot to base yourself for a night or two.

Have you camped here? And, if so, would you rate this as one of the best free camps on the Gibb? 👇

Another little zip up the coast in the @torus_rv , got the cruiser on the beach again as it’s been a while, epic session on the @tow.boogie then we saw a 2.5m shark, a seal torpedo through a wave, 25 plus dolphins and 2 whales all in one surf. 🦈🐬🦭🐳
