FRIDAY FESTIVAL DAY: Highlights of Australia’s first altlaw festival by @thelexnovaguild in #HobartNipaluna. Seeing this day come together as the tsunami of bold ideas, wide ranging thought and play that it was would have to be amongst our co-founder’s proudest life moments. While there is plenty of video and photography to come, here is an amuse-bouche for your morning.

Communitas ‘26 is done and dusted. And what an experience it was for Australia’s brightest and bravest legal minds!

We’re tired. We’re proud. And we couldn’t be more chuffed with how our first strangely delightful and delightfully strange legal festival turned out.

The word in the room that our delegates, our speakers, our sponsors, our team, and our curious onlookers kept coming back to was ‘different’. Everything about Communitas was different, fresh and exciting.

This feels like the first page of a new chapter in Australia’s legal category - one that we’re so proud to be writing with you all. 🖤

Stay tuned for many more photos, including from the Dark LexNo Gala, which turned the @racvhobart into a gothic wonderland of darkness and debauchery (all alleged, of course.)

Communitas will be back in 2027. Until then, stay weird, stay open.

Confidence is built through doing.

Every one of these women arrived to their shoot with butterflies. And each left with images that show the world exactly who they are.

That’s the magic of a guided experience. You don’t need to know how to pose. You don’t need to feel ready. You just need to have the willingness to show up.

The rest? That’s my job.

And afterwards, they said it best.

“From nervous and awkward in front of the camera, to beautiful images I am proud to use. Michelle made it all feel easy.”

“Her friendly and easy manner made the whole experience a joy, which you can absolutely see coming through in the photos.”

The people who need you are already looking for you. Give them something beautiful to find.

Only 4 x June dates remain. 📸 DM me to start planning your shoot.

The best time to be seen is NOW.

Meet Communitas ‘26 Speaker : Kirstie Colls.

Twenty-plus years. Accredited Family Law Specialist. Best Lawyers since 2020. And now — co-founder of Brisbane firm @toshcolls Family Law , built exactly the way she and Tarah Tosh wanted it.

Kirstie isn’t just doing family law differently. She’s building proof that you can design a practice around your values, your terms, and your life. At LexNova Guild’s Communitas ‘26, she joins our ‘Maiden, Mother & Crone: The Triple Fates of Your Legal Business’ panel — one of the most anticipated conversations on our program. Three women discussing three seasons of a legal career in one honest discussion about longevity, fulfilment and what co-opetition actually looks like in practice, not just on paper.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you can build something that still feels like you, years in — Kirstie is living the answer in real time.
