One thing about me? I love seeing the results of my hard work.

When I first started taking tennis lessons, my goal was simply to become a better player. But eventually, I realized that practicing a skill and actually applying it in a match are two different things.

So I decided to challenge myself and start playing in a tennis league.

And let me tell you, there’s nothing like playing actual matches to show you what you’ve learned and what you still need to work on.

From footwork to shot placement to learning how to stay composed during a rally, I’m starting to see my lessons translate into my game.

And currently? I’m sitting at number one in my league, undefeated at 3–0!

Now, I’m not saying I’ve mastered tennis, because I definitely haven’t. But seeing the progress makes me even more excited to keep learning.

The lessons are paying off, and I’m just getting started.

Soooooo excited to see how far my lessons will take me in next months Gladiator competition, my first of many.

I’m going in as a 2.5; admittedly my serve and footwork can use some improvement, but best believe I can rally you down 😜.

What’s the point of investing in the sport if you’re not going to see how far you can go?

Picking this up in my thirties, it’s kinda like I’m living out my hoop dreams. The best way to test who the best is to step on the court, & not just taking lessons.

But who am I? Just a freshie w/ a champions attitude thanks to talent & great coaches; oh, and indoor court to improve all year 🤪🙃. #ChicagoTennis #TennisAddict #tossandspin #chicagogirlsdoitbetter
