Wall balls: the rep that doesn’t count

Two WB rules from the Sip Plus Games 2026 rulebook work together here.

Rule 1: Every rep starts with you holding the ball, then descending into the squat.
Rule 6: Catching the med ball from a bounce into a squat is a No Rep.

Rule 3 matters too: from the bottom of the squat, you must stand and throw the ball to the target in one fluid motion.

So if the ball drops and bounces, you can’t catch it off the bounce and go straight down into your squat, like a squat clean. That breaks both rules. Take the ball, stand tall with it in your hands, then start your squat.

Same squat. Different start. One decides if it counts.

Davao, what an experience! 🔥

Had an amazing time taking on the GRIT Hybrid Series by @r2g.events in Davao. The community was incredibly welcoming, supportive, and full of good energy from start to finish. 🫶🏽

And the talents were absolutely incredible. The energy, passion, and skills made the whole experience even more memorable! 🔥👏🏽

Very satisfying to use Mahler’s rare Quartet for Strings here. Scorsese used it in Shutter Island. Dream is to use it in a short movie or a play soon!

Sixteen hours. Two hundred twenty-six kilometers. A day that pushed me to my physical, mental, and emotional limits.

There were moments when everything hurt. Moments when the finish line felt impossibly far away. Every kilometer longer, and every hour tested my resolve. But I kept reminding myself why I started. One more step. One more kilometer. One more reason not to quit.

This race wasn’t about being the fastest. It was about refusing to give up when things got hard. It was about trusting the training, embracing the discomfort, and finding strength I didn’t know I still had.

Finishing the 16hr race wasn’t just the end of a 226 km journey. It was proof that resilience is built through countless small decisions to keep moving forward, even when your mind and body begs you to stop.

Thank you to my teammates, support crew/team, friends and fellow coaches who supported and believed in me through this race. Thank you also to our rival teams for putting on a show from start to finish. But most importantly, thank you God for this able body, thank you for letting us finish this race safe and injury-free.
