Saturday morning done right 👊

A run, breakfast and, most importantly, time to catch up and connect with a great group of individuals.

I really believe spaces like this are needed, especially for men. Somewhere to get moving, have a chat, check in with each other and build genuine connections without any pressure.

Great to see @paulnightingale07 @mr_matt_pink_ @totallyteebarks

Run. Breakfast. Conversation. Connection.

That’s what @the.long.run.back is all about. 🏃‍♂️☕️

Real life connection with the @thehouseofmotive crew in London.

Although most of the work we do as a group takes place online, I strongly believe that it’s the real life meet ups that cement the group together and this bunch of lads is special.

When you give up the booze it can feel lonely, confusing and you often lack connection, this is exactly why I started this group and although there were a few lads that couldn’t make it, we had a great time and once again proved that there really isn’t any need for alcohol when you are in good company.

If anyone is interested in joining us, you can read all about it on our website and we will be opening new places next month so keep them peeled…

Spring Marathons 2026 have come to an end and what a brilliant experience it was from the end of March to beginning of May - we had 5 different Marathons smashed.

@tim.plumtree.1 in Rome 🇮🇹

@totallyteebarks in Paris 🇫🇷

@nyland5 in Manchester 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@better_life_guy in London 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

@sean_hayden12 in Limerick 🇮🇪

Everyone achieved what they set out to achieve including first marathon debuts and PB’s.

It has been such a positive and fulfilling period and I’ve enjoyed every second of it.

And 3 of the guys have resigned with me for Autumn marathons and a 10K PB attempt.

So if you are looking for help with Autumn marathons, or a 10K, 5K, Half Marathon or just looking for some help to get your running started then give me a shout. I’d love to hear from you.

No matter what your level is or isn’t I can help you with your running goals.

Give me a DM today and let’s get your journey started.

Derek

What’s your fave dessert to bring to a dinner party?

Vegan Tiffin recipe:
300g digestive biscuits
100g pistachio nuts
200g vegan unsalted butter (I used flora)
110g golden syrup
40g cocoa powder
40g caster sugar
100g raisins
100g glacé cherries
300g dark chocolate (or you can use milk if your not making it vegan)

Method:
1. Bash the biscuits and nuts in a bag.
2. Melt the cocoa, butter, sugar and syrup until just melted. Don’t let bubble.
3. Combine all ingredients and make sure they are all coated.
4. Press down into a 8x8 inch square tin. Melt chocolate and pour over. Set in the fridge for 2 hours.
5. Before slicing, sit out of the fridge to bring up to room temp to reduce cracks. Also wet knife in warm water before each slice for smooth slices.
