Meet Roberto. San Salvador, El Salvador. 🇸🇻

Roberto is our producer on the ground in Central America, delivering commercials, documentaries, and feature films across the Americas and Europe.

Whether he’s leading international productions or supporting visiting teams through multi-territory shoots and remote locations, Roberto knows that great logistics and great crews are just as important as great creative.

Big ideas. Complex shoots. One very reliable guy to have in your corner.

There is a certain kind of magic when creative craft meets deep cultural understanding. We built a whole film division around it.
Introducing Box3.

For over fifteen years, film has been at the heart of how OX helps organizations multiply good in the world. Over those years, we have learned a lot about what it takes to tell stories across cultures, contexts, and continents in a way that truly honors the people at the center of them.

So we found a third way of making films: a curated global network of trusted producers and long-term collaborators, people we have worked alongside for years, who bring cinematic craft together with a genuine understanding of the communities they film in.

And we are just getting started. Let’s reframe what’s possible. @madebybox3

I was a recipient of the GFX Challenge Grant Program 2024 sponsored by FUJIFILM. This helped fund my long-term sea otter project last year, and so much more!

FUJIFILM sent an amazingly talented trio of filmmakers from El Salvador to road trip with me down the coast from Oregon to California and create a behind-the-scenes mini-documentary (which will be shown at a couple of film festivals in 2026).

I had the privilege of using FUJIFILM GFX100 Il with FUJINON GF32-64mmF4 R LM WR and FUJINON GF500mmF5.6 R LM OIS WR. Wow, is that gear gorgeous! The 102MP sensor allowed me to capture detail that is invaluable for conservation photography and identifying individuals, their prey species and behavior from afar. And the color was so lovely that I didn’t even want to tone the files.

There’s more! Last month, FUJIFILM flew the grant winners to Tokyo where our work is featured in an exhibition at FUJIFILM Square. The gallery was beautifully curated and displayed, and we were lavished with gifts, an opening ceremony, portfolio reviews with the esteemed judges, and delicious dinners and drinks while building friendships with creators from around the globe.

I fell in love with Japan and am filled with gratitude for this experience of a lifetime.

Thank you, FUJIFILM!
