POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

If you’ve watched @janetmooney44 and I @janeyleegrace chatting about WHAM! 10 Days in China you will know the story of how we got the gig as backing singers. My first job was as a Wilsation - Julia Fordham and I were backing singers with Mari Wilson and it was a blast, touring the UK & Europe. Then, when they wanted an image change I was fired by the manager Jenny, for not cutting and bleaching my hair!

I said thanks to Jenny at Mari’s gig because that led to an introduction to WHAM’s MD and the rest is history! If I hadn’t been fired I wouldn’t have toured the world including China!!
One door closes - another opens - but no hard feelings, I sang with Mari on some gigs later too.
The gig on Sunday was fantastic at Cadogan hall, great band ( including OG Wilsation @stew.curtis on sax and flute, I was singing my heart out to the tracks we recorded ( Beat the beat - what a tune) by the awesome @tottaylor and Mari has some great new tracks - and perfect covers
Trip down memory lane for sure
Go see Mari in concert and get the new album Girl about town #memories #wham #

A view of the exhibition wall from my first exhibition at Riflemaker Gallery in 2015. Every time I think of that beautiful gallery space, I am overcome with gratitude. @riflemaker_london @tottaylor @virginia_damtsa

2026/1/11(Sun)はChill Me Out Vol.11でした‼️

Flashback to 2007 in front of my former gallery Riflemaker, where Tot Taylor and I explored the power of digital art with the exhibition Digital Forest by John Maeda @johnmaeda
Who remembers this groundbreaking show? John Maeda is an American designer, technologist, and educator known for bridging art, design, and computer science. He’s a pioneer in digital and computational art, has led design at major companies (like MIT Media Lab, Rhode Island School of Design, and Publicis Sapient), and is widely recognized for showing how technology and creativity can work together. @tottaylor @riflemaker_london #johnmaeda #artandtechnology #arttech

Liliane Lijn amongst the opening crowd (4). some of the rest pictured are tagged.

The music in this post is by the Tot Taylor (2), who was the gallerist co-hosting the show with Virginia Damtsa (4) (Riflemaker).
What an opening that was.

I projected my collection of 600+ images of buses from Caracas in the building famous for its plaster rococo decorations, amongst the finest in London (7), a building with such a unique history:

Since 1862 the House was run as a charity to help those who have experienced homelessness. It was then called "House of Charity". The building functioned as a hostel for women until 2006 as “The house of St Barnabas”. An “not-for-profit members' club” opened in October 2013 and closed in January 2024 after a partial collapse.

At the Independent Label Market and my usual meet up with @trevorjacksonofficial @louhayter_ @chelseaberlin @sybarspace
@ralphusmoorus @boggyuk Paul Glancy and more.

So much good vinyl there! Got some new stuff and replaced a few beloved CDs with the vinyl version. Trying to keep my vinyl habit in check.

See the video at the end for the vinyl I got from @latenighttalesofficial @muterecords and @tottaylor Thanks to all the independent labels there.

Riflemaker didn’t follow trends—we set them. Privileged to have worked with artists who changed the game: Yoko Ono, Takis, Soto, Carlos Cruz-Diez, François Morellet, Liliane Lijn, Boyle Family, Baschet Brothers, Gianni Colombo, Jaime Gili, Conrad Shawcross.
Curating shows that cut through the noise- then, now, always.
