Today we celebrate THE GOAT! 🐐💜💛

Happy Birthday to our Brother, Founder and Charter Member, Bro. J.B. Carter Jr.

Bro. Carter entered Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated through Rho Epsilon Chapter at Tougaloo College in December 1958. This December will mark 68 years in Omega. Let that sink in…68 YEARS! ⚡️

And Brother Carter has WORKED.

He served as Basileus of Iota Upsilon Chapter, twice as Mississippi State Representative, and once as Seventh District Representative.

But for us River City Ques, it gets even more personal.

Bro. Carter was the visionary behind Sigma Alpha Alpha Chapter. He had the vision, brought the Brothers together, and in 1980, that vision became ΣΑΑ.

46 years later…look at what that vision has become.

And if you talk to the Charter Brothers who were right there with him, they’ll tell you the same thing we already know…

J.B. is THE GOAT. 🐐

Almost seven decades of Omega. A lifetime of service. And a legacy that will live long after all of us.

We’re blessed to still have our Founder here so we can give him his flowers and tell him ourselves.

Happy Birthday, Bro. Carter!

Thank you for everything you’ve given to, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and for giving generations of River City Ques a chapter to call home.

We love and salute you, Brother J.b. Carter! 🐐⚡️💜💛

From the Tougaloo 9 to the Tougaloo 15. We marched inside the Capitol, loud and proud demanding that our legislators LEAVE OUR MAPS ALONE! Thank you Dr. Long, Professor Bolden, and Momma Guise for marching alongside us and reminding us that we are our ancestors' wildest dreams. Thank you to the students who were bold enough to march into the Capitol and chant, because that takes courage, and we did it! The fight isn't over yet, so let’s keep going! #ThisisTougalooStrong #LeaveOurMapsAlone

The Brother to Brother campaign, led by the Association of Black Cardiologists, is a national initiative addressing high blood pressure and cardiovascular disease among Black men. Men from the Tougaloo College Student Government Association, Royal Court, Men of Excellence, Collegiate 100, and Divine Nine fraternities came together to raise awareness, encourage our brothers to know their numbers, and promote heart healthy lifestyles on campus and in the community.

Take the pledge and stand with us in protecting Black men’s health:

Sophisticated. Resilient. & Ready 2 Serve. I am so thankful to say I participated in the Miss Omega Psi Pageant this past week. I was able to work with intelligent and likeminded women who were devoted to serve in their own beautiful way. I am so thankful to have volunteered with the brothers of Omega Psi Phi as well as my pageant sisters. This entire process has taught me the importance of trying your hardest, making the most out of what life has to offer, and being kind. This is only the beginning of my journey to making a positive difference for my community. Though I did not win, being surrounded by such amazing individuals and having as much fun as I did will never be forgotten and that is the true prize in my eyes.
