A fresh look for this staircase in Hatfield Peveral.

Taking the dark timber and giving it a clean white finish has completely changed the feel of the space, making it look brighter and more open.

A big transformation through preparation, patience and a few coats of paint.

How to stop ceiling cracks from coming back!
Fed up with repairing the same cracks in your ceiling, only for them to reappear a few months later?
Simply filling over a crack isn't enough. If you want a long-lasting repair, you have to engineer flexibility into it.
In this video, I walk you through my process to repair recurring movement cracks using flexible filler, reinforcing tape, and the correct process to ensure the job is done right the first time.
Doing it right takes a couple of extra steps, but it saves you having to re-do the job further down the line.
The finished result? A flawless, perfectly smooth finish with zero trace of the original crack

OFFICE PREP, part 1.

Some Lully family members stripped the wallpaper off this room for us, then we weren’t overly surprised at the state of the state because it’s an old house.

The original plan was to level the walls then paint them, but seeing as we’d never done that before and a few people suggested lining paper we went for that option.

The get the room ready for that we had to fill in the cracks, sand it, fill it and sand the wood in the room ready for priming.

We used @toupretuk magic levelling kit to fill the cracks. Bit of expanding foam a shit tonne of sanding paper.

Progress is being made on the kitchen renovation.
The issues were peeling paint from poor preparation on new plaster and blown plaster also in areas. On top of that the walls are about as even as the ocean surface!!

Such a stunning property to work on! All the cracks in the render raked out, stabilised and filled with Toupret Murex rock hard exterior filler before blending into the substrate. The walls painted with Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry paint tinted to match Little Greene French Grey. Bedec Barn Paint in a Black Satin finish for the fascia boards & soffits with Benjamin Moore Aura Exterior Super White in a Satin finish for the door and windows. 🎨👌

As always thanks to Dan @progreenpembs for the fungicide softwash before my work began. Lee & Craig @ Lee Poole & Sons for the carpentry work and Ian, Scott & the lads at S.A Scaffolding @sascaffoldingpembs so I could carry out the work safely.
