GIVE IN PART 1
Love the Botticelli composition and statuesque posing.
Beautiful contemporary renaissance vibes.
Words from the artist below:
_________________________________________________

"The concept for ‘Give In Part l’ symbolizes the deconstruction of toxic masculinity while having a safe space amongst a selected group of people.

I wanted a shot that demonstrated a man actively Giving In to energies that makeup his true essence- a liberated balance of masculine and feminine energy. I’ve noticed that a lot of men are willing to journey through this construct while being surrounded by those who love them and want the individual to flourish internally & externally.

During my entire life, career, and journey I battled with the presence of toxic masculinity and witnessed how this facade stripped my existence. As a child, I intuitively noticed I inhabited both the masculine and feminine energy. While discovering my natural essence, I chose to venture into fulfilling the “masculine image” because that’s what boys do, right? It didnt work for me.

I always felt like an imposter playing the hyper masculine roles, kissing girls in shows, wearing the stereotypical masculine silhouette and clothes, strategically structuring the natural melody of my voice to fit the expected masculine vocal pattern, playing nearly every sport and rough housing with the guys, creating stories and scenarios to hide my sexuality from loved ones, my relationship with the divine- and the list continues. The listed dilemma’s all fall upon (most) boys at a very young age and challenges how they navigate their lives. At the age of 23 I realized running from my essence was no longer necessary, and that was the start of learning to love myself."
