Join Stephen from Kosmo Foto @kosmofoto and the Bookshop Team @tpgbookshop for a cinematic photo walk through iconic London scenes on Saturday 22 August. We will be celebrating the launch of Kosmo Foto’s latest film: DIREKTOR, a limited-edition re-rolled version of Kodak’s peerless 5222 XX black-and-white cinema film.

Starting at The Photographers Gallery on Ramilles Street at 11am, the walk will work its way through central London visiting various landmarks from cinema history – and we’re challenging you to think like a director, taking shots you think could be a still from a film. Each ticketholder will get a roll of KOSMO FOTO DIREKTOR.

Sneak peek of our route below… plus more locations revealed on the day! Link to book tickets through our website.

Image 1: Rathbone Place - Peeping Tom (1960) dir. Michael Powell
Image 2: Garrick Theatre (Gotham Opera) - Batman Begins (2005) dir. Christopher Nolan
Image 3: The Savoy - The Long Good Friday (1980) dir. John Mackenzie
Image 4: Elizabeth Tower - The 39 Steps (1978) dir. Don Sharp
Image 5&6: Westminster Bridge - 28 Days Later (2002) dir. Danny Boyle / Spectre (2015) dir. Sam Mendes
Image 7: Waterloo Station - The Bourne Ultimatum (2007) dir. Paul Greengrass

There will be some spot prizes from Kosmo Foto and its online camera shop Cameraburo and 10% discount in-store all day for participants.

See you there!

Such good art around I am flagging up in my new Substack and a good piece in the NYT about climate change. Steve and Anita Mangan talk siblings and I explore waiting for death, parents dying, the effect and the madness.

So lucky to have had the chance to shoot my new short, The Present, with a bunch of brilliant ones. What a crew. A photo story.

Brilliant Deborah Roberts talking about being an artist; and some of my plant loves.

As always a smorgasbord of interesting takes and some good recommendations with love.
