Think cheaper cuts of beef can't make an incredible meal? Think again.
Beef shin is one of those underrated cuts. It's usually more affordable, it's naturally rich in connective tissue and collagen, and when cooked properly it becomes beautifully tender with the most gorgeous rich sauce.
And this is how my mum taught me to cook it in Brazil. ❤️

Ingredients
500g beef shin, cut into chunks
500g cassava, peeled
2 large onions
6 garlic cloves
1 green pepper
6–8 medium tomatoes OR 1 tin chopped tomatoes
1 tbsp paprika
1 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp dried oregano
2 tbsp dried coriander
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander + parsley
Method
Seal the beef directly in the pressure cooker. Add the onion and garlic, finely chopped in a food processor, then the green pepper and tomatoes.
Add your seasonings and salt, mix well, add water and pressure cook until the beef is beautifully tender.
Boil the cassava separately until soft, then add it to the beef and let everything cook together for a few more minutes so the cassava absorbs that gorgeous sauce.
Finish with fresh coriander and parsley.
Good food doesn't need expensive ingredients. Sometimes the cheaper cuts just need a little love and the right recipe. ❤️

🇧🇷 Bom apetite!
SAVE this recipe for later and SHARE it with someone who loves proper comfort food.

FROM AN IDEA… TO THE HOUSE OF COMMONS. 🇬🇧
Sometimes we are so busy building, creating and moving forward that we forget to stop and appreciate how far we’ve come.
It was such a privilege to join Ladies First at the House of Commons for the launch of the 2027 Ladies First Professional Development Business Awards, hosted by Saqib Bhatti MBE MP.

As a Ladies First ambassador, a businesswoman and the woman behind BIA’S Kitchen Show and @bias.marketing.production.pr , this meant a lot to me.
Because everything I build has one thing in common: people and their stories.
Having the opportunity to take those conversations into places where voices can be heard reminds me that we are moving in the right direction.

Grateful for the journey, grateful for the people beside me — and very excited about where we go next. ❤️
Keep showing up. Your voice matters.

🔥 IT’S LIVE! EPISODE 3 IS NOW ON YOUTUBE

MENOPAUSE: 46 TESTS?! What Was My Doctor Looking For?

Hormones. HRT. Nutrition. Weight changes. Supplementation.
There is SO much information out there during menopause, but how do we know what our own body actually needs?

And what’s the difference between simply buying supplements off the shelf and having supplementation recommended following an individual medical assessment?

In this episode of Hot Flushes & Hot Foods, I take you to Brazil for a very personal conversation with @dra.anacarolinarocha, a medical doctor specialising in Nutrology, Hormones and supplementation.

We talk about my 46 medical testes, hormones, nutritional deficiencies, HRT, diet, supplementation, body composition and why menopause care shouldn't be one-size-fits-all.

🎬 WATCH THE FULL EPISODE NOW
Go to our YouTube channel BIA’S Kitchen Show — link in bio.

But we also want YOUR QUESTIONS! 👇

Dra. Ana Carolina will be joining me LIVE to answer questions from our community.

❓ HRT or hormones?
❓ Supplements — what do we actually need?
❓ Prescription/recommended supplements vs off-the-shelf?
❓ Nutrition and diet during menopause?
❓ Weight and body changes?
❓ Or something from the episode you want us to explain further?

Drop your question in the comments. We’ll be choosing questions to take directly to the doctor during our LIVE Q&A.

🔥 Real talk. Real food. Real support.

Educational content only. Always discuss your individual health and treatment with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
