A Day at the Polo

Sometimes you just need a reason to dress up, hop on a short bus ride, and spend the day somewhere completely different.

@greenwichpoloclub at Conyers Farm was that kind of day.

@senorita_leonor did an incredible job bringing everything together—the presentation was beyond expectations, and honestly, the day could not have been better. The grounds were beautifully maintained, the food from @bitesbynatasha and drinks from @wsjbartending flowed, and the entire atmosphere felt effortlessly special.

This year, our group was bigger and extended beyond our Seven Oaks neighborhood. We met new friends, reconnected with familiar ones, laughed, talked, dressed up, and simply enjoyed being together.

For many of us, it was a first-time experience—and what a way to experience it. Well-dressed friends, beautiful surroundings, good food, flowing drinks, and a little polo made for the perfect change of scenery.

Good company. Great style. A beautiful day.

Now that I’ve had a little time to sit with it all…

Isla spent its first year in NYC at the Macy’s / Herald Square Holiday Market with @urbanspacemarkets, a true leap of faith.

Thirty days, countless lessons, beautiful wins, and the most beautiful new community later, I’m feeling incredibly grateful.

Thank you to everyone who supported Isla in any way; whether you shopped, stopped by, shared a kind word, or followed along online. My heart is so full.

Here’s to 2026. I can’t wait to see what’s ahead.

Sharing a little discount code below as a thank-you 🤍

Now that things have finally calmed down a bit… ISLA made it to the Herald Square Holiday/Winter Market. I couldn’t be happier or prouder. The last few weeks have been a madhouse, but honestly? I’m grateful for every bit of the chaos.

Come visit me at the Herald Square Holiday Market from December 3rd to January 3rd, 11 AM – 8 PM, at Booth B27.

And a huge shout-out to the @constructiondna for always coming through — even at 6 AM.

Reflecting on last nights beautiful fundraiser:
Gifts, Give, & Gather event was a huge success — and not because everything went perfectly, but because our village really showed up! Students, teachers, neighbors, and community partners poured in with energy, generosity, and open wallets — truly the dream combo.

First, a special thank-you to my husband @jamesward3 , the unpaid employee of all my “half-baked but usually beautiful” ideas — you deserve snacks, flowers, and probably a PTO badge at this point. To my closest friends, thanks for repeatedly listening to my brainstorms, drafts, and voice notes at odd hours.✨

To @fitzhughii , Principal Woods, and Mrs. Shaulter, thank you for taking a chance and saying “yes” — your support proves you’re truly invested in our students, teachers, and community. 🧡

To our amazing Heywood staff who shared talent, time, services, and creativity —
Mrs. Julie • Ms. Maria Molinaro • Ms. Springer • Mrs. Jetwa • Mrs. Laguna • Mrs. Hill • Ms. Robinson • Mrs. Smith • Mr. Cherry • Mrs. Riggins • Ms. Hernandez
You embodied Heywood Pride with action, not words. 🐾 @opsdistrict

To the incredible families, business owners, service providers, and supporters — thank you for donating, showing up, bidding, smiling, and believing. You make this feel possible and worth repeating.

@sevenoakssociety and neighbors showed what community really looks like — where fun meets purpose.
❤️
Until the next idea…

Last week I had the honor of attending the 2025 @forbeswomen Forbes Power Women’s Summit through @islacandles 💫

Moments like this remind me just how far Isla has come; from an idea to now being part of rooms filled with visionaries, founders, and changemakers who are leading the future.

I’m so proud of this milestone and even more excited about what’s to come for Isla. This is only the beginning. ✨
