My album is on the first round ballot for the Grammys! If you're a voting member of the Recording Academy, I'd appreciate your consideration of "Sometimes A Rose Will Grow In Concrete" for the categories noted. If you're not a voting member, I'd simply appreciate some good energy, prayers, positive vibrations and all around good juju! Who knows? This just might be the Little Album That Could. 🙏🏾☺️🎤🎧 Thanks y'all! #SySmith #SRWGC #RoseFist #ForYourConsideration #Grammys #SometimesARoseWillGrowInConcrete #SometimesARoseGetsNominatedForStuff
Shout out to the musicians/singers who helped bring this project to life! (I tried to tag all of you. Please forgive me if I forgot anyone!)

This is the one and only time I met her after being a serious, "I really know all your music, ma'am" fan for all of 3 months haha. Before that I enjoyed her music but wasn't familiar with it all. The meeting was an absolute pleasure for me. It was like meeting my long-lost, fierce auntie for the first time. I smile thinking about how God worked that out. It's a great memory.
