This little dancing queen loved @fungal_mirage!
I didn't get my phone out fast enough to catch her dancing, but I can say it sure was adorable!

Event Photos by @stan_th_man are on our Facebook page! I will be adding more as I can through the end of the week.

While going through my phone, I found this video, which caught me crying in the background. LOL! 🤣

I laugh because this event always gets me right in the heart and gut so many times throughout the day.
I can't count how many times I've cried in a single UTHC event; I don't have enough fingers or toes to count.

Seeing families picking out Christmas presents, kids telling Santa what else they want, and veterans coming up to introduce themselves, telling me about their military careers, some in need who really rely on the Military Appreciation Gift Shop for clothes and items. Regardless of who you are, there is always some kind of joy to be taken away.

I think I cry a million times during Unleash the Holiday Cheer every year. And it reminds me why I work so hard to make it "just right," and it helps me forget all the stress & occasional drama that comes along with event planning. It makes me want to start right away for the next year, thinking about how I can make it better for yall.

Of course, when I say "I", I'm including the amazing volunteers, vendors, sponsors, and anyone else who works hard to bring this all together.

I know there are many Christmas and holiday events in San Diego, and Unleash the Holiday Cheer is a very special and unique event. It is a CHARITY event. It was founded to GIVE BACK. Give back to our military, veterans, their dependents, and to local families who can use a little extra cheer.

So if you worked, donated, or attended this year, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Love,

Traci

More Unleash the Holiday Cheer event prep in progress! When you see our volunteers at the Welcome Booths, Military Appreciation Gift Shop and this year, our Plushie Adoption Booth, now you'll know how they got their pens & highlighters!

These packs will be in the large bin for another volunteer to find and take over to the booths where they're needed.

The behind the scenes work by Traci, and lots of event day volunteerism by our well, volunteers! 🥰🥰🥰

Who got their furbabies blessed yesterday?

We remember this photo from our own Blessing of the Animals 6 years ago, when our founder's uncle blessed sweet furbabies!
