Ego deaths are overrated. Sometimes you need a well balanced ego birth. 3 years ago I was seeking advice from a close friend and manager on how I might find a path into artist management. He told me I had a fantastic resume but he could never hire me because I didn’t have the right track record to make the move. One year ago this month we launched Track Record. The scariest shit I’ve ever done in my life. Some days I’ve woken up thinking I made the biggest mistake of my career. Others I feel on top of the world. Since then I’ve seen first hand how the magic can happen when you quit being comfortable. I’m extremely blessed to have amazing partners and a community of badass mf’s that have lifted me up over the past 12 months and that’s made all the difference. So if I can give any words of advice it’s f*ck your resume, find your people, and stay the course. Be so insane that it has to work. Today’s the first Monday I think I’m celebrating. Don’t Know What You Had is now yours, everywhere, at any time. 💝

This song means so much to me. I wrote this with dear friends, as you shall see in this goofy carousel. I decided to start again two years ago with my whole life/career/etc, and I didn’t know what music I’d be making. Two years later, I authentically feel like I found it. And it’s such an exciting gift, to have this precious song that’s been living in my DEMOS for too long, to now be everyone’s song. I hope you love it. I hope you dance to it, cry to it if needed, (I know I did) I hope you scream to it, be petty with it, all of it.
