Happy Bisexual Visibility Day! ❤️💜💙

For this sacred day, we naturally had to break out the bi lighting and my Evil Bisexual Stereotype shirt!

Now let's get serious for a moment: the reason Bi Visibility Day is so important is because bi+ people are still marginalized. We have higher rates of everything from cancer, heart disease, depression, and domestic violence. This is very likely due to the fact that bi+ people have not been accepted either by queer or straight communities.

This is even more striking when you realize that more than half the people under the LGBTQ+ umbrella identify as bisexual. We're the biggest part of the queer community, even though historically, we've been sidelined.

Fortunately, things have gotten much better for bi people over the years, especially in queer communities. But let's keep the love going and celebrate everyone for being who they are. 🥰

If you're looking for some awesome books by bi+ authors to pick up or pre-order today, then I've got you covered! A dozen super cool writers with super cool books!

And of course, pretty much all of my books feature bi+ characters too! There's plenty of horror fiction to choose from, so consider supporting bi+ authors. Not just today, but year-round! We are here, and we are fabulous. 😊

One final note in case anyone needs to hear it: nobody gets to tell you if you're "queer enough" or "bi enough." There's still this idea that people need to somehow "prove" they belong to call themselves LGBTQ+. That's simply not true. You're bi if you say you're bi. It doesn't matter what your past relationships have been, and it doesn't matter the gender of your current partner. YOU determine who you are. Nobody else. So if you're bi+, whether you're out or not, celebrate you today. Because you're awesome. 🥰😊
