‘Blackpool’ is usually met with a lot of negative connotations and, if I’m honest, after living here for the last 25 years, I can absolutely see why. But one thing I’ve always loved about this place is the people.

Growing up skateboarding around here was arguably the best thing that ever happened to me. I loved my little crew so much (ATB4LYF) with our shit crusty spots and shit skateparks, but it was always fun… like, proper fun.

When Joey and I first started talking about what an event in Blackpool could look like, we always knew it had to be fun, wouldn’t take itself too seriously and it had to be for the people. And in return, everyone who came would hopefully leave with a more positive experience of the area.

This weekend I got to see some of that crew (ATB4EVA), catch up with old and new friends, and hang out with childhood local heroes. It’s been so fucking fun, and I hope everyone who came felt the same.

There are far too many people to thank individually, but you know who you are. This event was powered by the community, for the community.
