Eco Friendly Nightlife Advocacy Part 1 - @shambalafest 🌍

Shambala isn’t just a festival, it’s a living example of truly sustainable nightlife. Their ethos is circular, regenerative, net positive and rooted in respect for people and planet.

They have cut their carbon footprint by over 90%, run on 100% renewable power, been meat and fish free for almost a decade, banned single-use plastics, compost all food waste and have over a third of attendees arriving via eco-travel.

These are not just green gestures, but pioneering practices recognised worldwide, proving that a festival can create joy, connection and culture while tackling the climate crisis.

Shambala is part of a wider movement towards sustainable nightlife. At VibeLab we are excited to be announcing a new project coming soon that will explore how touring and programming in electronic music can adapt to reduce emissions and create more sustainable ways of working.

But more on that to come.

And of course we would like to share our appreciation and support for the remarkable work Shambala Festival, co-founder Chris Johnson and the entire festival team has undertaken over the years, in helping innovate an eco-friendly festival future, without compromising on experience.

Shambala Festival starts this weekend @shambalafest 🌍
