Stoked to take home the @usacycling National title in Cat 1 Men’s 30-39 Dual Slalom with the @prodownhillseries at @bigbearmountainresort this weekend!

Absolute dogfight to the very end with tough head-to-head racing against some strong competition.

After missing last year’s race due to breaking some ribs in a training accident days before the event, coming back this year to have a flawless weekend and walk away with the win was the redemption I was hunting for.

Had an absolute blast at @tdsenduro last weekend. Couldn’t have asked for better conditions on Days 1 & 2 with prime hero dirt and loam. Overnight, rain rolled in and turned the hillside into pure mud for Day 3, making things quite a challenge. Regardless, lots of laughs, pit bike chaos, and solid laps with friends.

Didn’t quite find the pace I was after this year. I took a pretty heavy crash on Stage 2, so the goal shifted to completing the remaining 9 stages rather than pinning it.

Huge thanks to @tdsron55 and the Sanchez crew for having me out. This event’s been on the list for a long time, stoked to finally make it happen! Already looking forward to running it back next year!

Top step at Sea Otter DH 🥇

After 15 years or racing exclusively Slalom at Sea Otter, I decided to mix things up a bit. Hyped to take first in the Expert Men’s 30-34 Downhill. Such a fun weekend of racing, running into old friends, and making a couple new ones. Now to wash the van, repack, and head up to @tdsenduro for more of the same!

Back to back!

Super stoked to get on the podium 2 weekends in a row, this time with a 5th in Expert Men at the 2025 @marinduro!
Going into the race having never ridden the trails, building the bike the night before, and being a decade since my last enduro, definitely was not expecting to beat out the other 31 competitors.

Reflecting back to Sea Otter Fuego XL, as I close out the first part of my 2024 race season. This was my first race of the 2024 season, I came into this race so well prepared, feeling stronger than I have had before. My results here set the stage for the rest of the season. To be honest it was a weird feeling to start the season accomplishing what I had always been chasing for so long. I basked in that glory and high as long as I could. It really changed my whole mindset from “I wish I could” and “Maybe one day.” To knowing what I’m ultimately capable when I bring my “A” game.

I have been incredibly blessed with some amazing results and am beyond grateful to have such a great start to the year.

What next!?!?! Honestly, I still don’t know. If anything I’m willing to take bigger risks, be less conservative and push it a little harder, I mean what do I really have to lose but to test the limits. I’m willing to fail, to get it right.

Right now I’m really focusing on what I’m doing when I’m not on the bike, optimizing rest and recovery. Better quality sleep is my #1 focus to combat the mid season fatigue I was starting to feel.

I’m heading to Colorado now for my next block of racing and training. I’m surely to be humbled by the altitude alone. But super excited for what the summer had to hold. Next up is Firecracker 🧨 50 and Silver Rush 50.
