Mercer University ‘32

I am very excited and blessed to announce my commitment to Mercer University to continue my academic and athletic career.

First and foremost I want to thank my Lord and savior Jesus Christ for blessing me with this incredible opportunity. None of this would be possible without Him.

I want to thank my family for all their support. To my mom and dad thank you for being with me every step of the way and supporting me. Thank you to my sisters for always encouraging me and believing in me.

Huge thanks to all my Coaches from Wheaton Academy, True, and the Wheaton Wolverines. Special thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Weisenborn, Coach Miller, Coach Edell, Coach Berkman, and Coach Deane for guiding me through my lacrosse journey every step of the way.

Lastly I want to thank Coach Chakey, Coach Jones, Coach Tocco, and all the staff at Mercer for believing in me and giving me this opportunity.

Go Bears!!

VARIABLE LOAD ACCELERATION

Same training concept. Different athletes. Individualized targets.

Both basketball players worked through 25-yard variable resistance sprints — starting heavier to challenge early force production, then reducing resistance once they reached their individual velocity target.

The goal: produce force early → transition efficiently → continue building speed.

🏀 College Guard
4.03s — 25 yd | 1.26s — 0–5 yd
16.45 mph | 7.19 m/s² max acceleration

🏀 HS Junior
4.58s — 25 yd | 1.48s — 0–5 yd
14.01 mph | 5.35 m/s² max acceleration

For basketball, it’s not about chasing a 25-yard sprint time. It’s developing the ability to produce force quickly and accelerate efficiently — whether that’s creating separation, closing space, or attacking an opening.

Same stimulus. Individualized prescription.

Clips from last week. 🎥

Add these drills to your toolbox.

The goal isn’t to reinvent the wheel. It’s to be intentional and efficient. These drills are designed to prime the body for what’s coming next: RVA work. Master the fundamentals, prepare the movement patterns, then let it transfer.

Good work from @410keem and @brandt.stare 👏

Good drill here by @brandt.stare.

There’s a lot to unpack, but the emphasis was on holding the red (white) line, tracking the ball, fading late, and finishing with late hands.

I can’t stress this enough: master the basics. Don’t fall for the social media trap. Train what translates to game day.

Red Light, Green Light 🚦 with Denver Broncos WR @410keem.

A simple drill that teaches WRs how to decelerate under control and explode out of the top of their routes.

Building:
• Controlled deceleration
• Violent hip sink
• Lower center of gravity
• Efficient footwork
• Explosive re-acceleration

The better you can brake, the more separation you create.

Good drill here by current Denver Broncos WR and UFL Offensive Player of the Year @410keem

Falling Start → 180° Break

Teaching WRs to decelerate, sink, and explode out of their breaks.

Building:
• Violent hip sink
• Better body control
• Efficient deceleration
• Cleaner transitions
• More separation at the top of the route

Simple drill. Complex movement.

Week 2 is in the books. Iron sharpens iron. 💯

Another great day with an awesome mix of NFL, CFL, and college talent. Great competition across the board, with Denver Broncos WR Hakeem Butler and Jacksonville Jaguars TE Tanner Koziol joining the group. Keep going..💯🫡

In the lab today with a great mix of college, NFL, UFL, and CFL talent. 💯

At every level, they already know the answers to the test. Success isn’t about learning something new every day. It’s about executing the details over and over again, constantly refining, fine tuning, and never settling.

Heck of a day.
