My 5th year at @okeechobeefest will stand out in my memory as a time of warm days, chilly nights, fun losing time with the love of my life @meadohmusic, good tunes, ample rest, and laughter in excess.

Cullen’s okee set was amazing! I’m so happy for him! Witnessing each step in his musical journey has been an honor and I’m so pleased to hold his hand along the way.💗

The book I brought to the festival was quite nice while waiting in the hour long shower line and during the morning when my internal clock would wake me up earlier than most everyone else. I wanted to finish “Into the Wild” while at the festival but fell short and only got about half way. I’m still calling that a win though!

Another win was seeing a new bird!! We saw the Easter Meadowlark! There are no coincidences. This bird was a gift for @meadohmusic and me.✨💛

My only hot take was that the ice cream truck in the aquachobee area was charging premium, organic, pasture raised, hand churned by angels, ice cream prices but serving milk product. I was not fooled and I was not impressed. Bring back ice cream, abolish frozen dairy dessert forever. You will not change my mind.

Right now I’m happy to be home with my kitties but this short vacay was a much needed break from the hum drum routine of daily life.

Can’t wait for the next one!💛🌻
