One of the biggest mistakes we see?

Thinking the best way to prepare for for an event… is simply doing the same event every day.

In this instance: Sim after Sim after Sim.

The reality is, HYROX rewards far more than just your ability to complete the movements.

It rewards athletes who can apply consistent force for a duration of time under extended cardiovascular and muscular fatigue. To run efficiently, recover quickly, move well and express strength repeatedly for over an hour of work.

Yes, train for the sport, when you need to practice the skill, but don’t become limited by it.

Spend the time you are in the gym doing exactly what you need to increase training qualities, not to only mimic what your sport looks like.

The best HYROX athletes aren’t simply good at HYROX - They’re exceptional athletes first.

That’s the difference.

At TFE, we don’t believe coaching is just instruction. It’s influence.

Members don’t only listen to what we say - they absorb what we tolerate, what we reinforce, and what we live. Our standards become their standards. Our habits become the environment. And our consistency becomes the proof that the process works.

Leading by example doesn’t mean being perfect. It means showing up. Training with intent. Owning the fundamentals. Respecting the program. Doing the work even when it’s inconvenient. Because the moment a coach stops embodying the process, the room feels it - and so do the results.

The best coaching isn’t just cues.
It’s clarity, consistency & presence.

If you want people to commit, you have to live what you’re asking them to become.

Year of the 🐍

It was a year to keep momentum, and it did just that.

More time coaching and programming for both those in person and online communities growing.

More time for my own training and opportunities to test fitness in that realm with my mates which I feel has so much more to come this next chapter.

Communities all around me grew, as much as my inner circle levelled up.

5th year of TFE.
Launched the Train for Everything Podcast.
First of many WL Camps with @jacquelinenichele
Launched more programs and coaching slots filled up
Coaching and programming with my team got even more exciting.
Worked closely with the pro team @machetemuaythai

So much enjoyment in the thick of this year, as well as so so many personal lessons learned.
Putting those into practice this next chapter will be the next phase.

2026 year of the 🐎 means opportunities will be plentiful.

Training and coaching squads keep building and momentum this year won’t stop.

Why Strength is King

Chasing soreness doesn’t always mean chasing progress.

That ache you feel after a heavy session isn’t the ultimate marker of growth, it’s just a physiological response called DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness). It’s influenced by novelty, intensity, and muscle damage, not always by the quality of your training.

If soreness is your only measure of success, you’re missing the bigger picture. Training that’s effective builds capacity, strength, and durability over time - not just short-term fatigue. If every session leaves you limping, you’re not getting ahead, you’re just stressing a system that never fully adapts.

Soreness can be a byproduct, but it’s not the goal. The real markers? Consistency, load progression, technical efficiency, and the ability to recover stronger for the next session.

Train smart. Build resilient. Stop chasing soreness - start chasing results.
