EJO INVITATIONAL PODCAST - EPISODE 07
JAK ‘THE REPTILE’ LUXTON 🦎🔥

Jak Luxton is no stranger to competition — although his usual preparation can involve rocking up and paying on the day.

Thankfully, one of those spontaneous NAGA appearances ended with him walking away with a NAGA Championship belt. 🏆

For EJO, he’s had a little more time to prepare.

Jak faces Wilf Kelly in the -88kg division, and for the past six months he’s deliberately been working on something important:
The parts of Jiu Jitsu he doesn’t enjoy so much.

Rather than staying comfortable, Jak has been developing those areas so he’s ready to counter whatever Wilf brings to the EJO mats.

At 33, Jak has been involved in martial arts since he was just five years old, almost three decades of learning, competing and continuing to develop.

And he fits all of this around managing two businesses, with a hugely supportive partner, friends and family behind him.

Around 20 of them are coming to EJO to support him! 🙌

We talk competition, preparation, balancing a very full life and why sometimes the things you least enjoy working on are exactly the things that need your attention.

Training for this match-up! Juggling single parenthood, two companies, and upping gym sessions to 2 hours, 5 days a week. Sparring almost daily. It's intense, but worth it. #TrainingHard #SingleParentLife #EntrepreneurLife #Dedication #Sparring

Stepped into NAGA at blue belt, aiming to test myself against purple belts. Won gold! That win ignited a fire, proving age is just a number. Nothing to lose, everything to learn. Dived in the deep end to find out where I truly stand. #NAGA #Grappling #BJJ #Competition #Mindset #TestingMyself
