đŸŽ›ïž TUESDAY SPOTLIGHT: TRAKGIRL Behind some of the sleekest R&B and hip-hop records of the last decade is a woman most listeners never see — Shakari Linder, the DMV-raised producer the culture knows as TRAKGIRL. Raised in Virginia in a classically trained musical family, she taught herself production as a teen on an Akai MPD 16 hooked to a red Gateway computer, dissecting records from Prince to Missy to learn who built the sounds inside them. She hustled as a self-described "studio rat" at Timbaland's Virginia Beach studio — and earned his public co-sign: "She a beast." Her résumé runs deep: Jhené Aiko's "Overstimulated," Vic Mensa's V Tape, the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse soundtrack, Belly's "Maintain," Dawn Richard's "Slim Thicc" — plus engineering for Mustard. A creative technologist who designs and builds her own production tools, she co-founded The 7 in 2018, pushing women into both the creative and business sides of production. And 2026 is hers: a first Grammy nomination for JID's God Does Like Ugly, and McDonald's official 2026 Music Curator — full circle from her teen breakfast shift there. Her rule: "Focus on your craft. Work towards getting better and the rest will follow. The music should always come first." #hhog #hiphopovarygang #OG #TRAKGIRL #FemaleProducer #HipHopProduction #WomenInHipHop #DMV #ProducerLife

What started with early morning shifts at #McDonald’s in the DMV has come full circle in a major way for Shakari “ #TRAKGIRL” Linder. Before becoming a Grammy-nominated producer whose credits include JID, A$AP Rocky, Jhené Aiko and Luke James, TRAKGIRL was working behind the counter at McDonald’s and putting money from her paychecks toward her first trackpad. Now, years later, she’s back at the Golden Arches; but this time, she’s making history as McDonald’s first Black female Music Curator. And she’s not just bringing her production skills back to the brand. She’s turning the sounds of a McDonald’s shift into music.

We can’t just clip the leaves off the top of the weeds and hope they disappear—surface solutions only guarantee that the same problems resurface again and again. To truly conquer the monsters in our garden, we have to be willing to dig in deep, get our hands dirty, and pull the roots out so that lasting peace, joy, and freedom can flourish.#foryou #fyp #foryourpage #mentalhealth #conquerorroberts
