I get asked SO many times where things are from in our home so I thought I’d start a little series!
.
The newest edition to the space is the rattan vase which I bought from a vintage shop and then realised it looks a bit pumpkin-ish.
.
As if I’ve got some Halloween decor! I’ll be saying I love Autumn next…😂

Let me know if there’s anything I’ve missed! #fblifestyle

2nd year in a row. We’ve been nominated for the @northnottsbc best trade awards. After making the finals last year we’ve managed to expand taking on extra team members and bigger projects. Keep an eye out for when the voting opens. With other great businesses competing we need your help. #tuxfordhandyman #handyman #awardnominee #awardnomination #handymanservices #besttrade #bestinbusiness #teamworkmakesthedreamwork #letsgo #tuxford #retford #eastmarkham

So, for clarity and incase there are any trolls out there who like to make presumptions😉(goodness, there have been some weird and not so wonderful comments on my reels lately😳)
.
- this is MY budget and how I try to keep costs down
- I am not rich!
- I have worked hard to be able to have a little disposable income for interiors but use it wisely
- my opinion of a bargain may be totally different to someone else’s

I try to invest in pieces that are timeless, of good quality and will last and use them as statement pieces.
.
We’ve had the sofa for 7 years and have no plans to change it and it is of excellent quality. The cabinet is going NOWHERE! The mural is a new addition and totally makes the room. The lighting is a classic and adds interest to an inexpensive kitchen
.
To save money, we bought a second hand bath, end of line tiles, cleaned and laid reclaimed parquet, made our own dining set from scaffold boards and upcycled a chair and kitchen.
.
Loads of other things that we’ve thrifted and upcycled so hope to show you more soon😊

+++The Snug, The Delaval Arms, Old Hartley+++ design details & craic! Freehold premises, updated, restyled & sold for profit! Co @trustinnsuk @christieco @si_bartlettid

The response was amazing on the opening & it’s still going strong!

WOW, traditional PUB design at its best. Family owned pub since 2019 then through the horrible COVID lockdown but had the ultimate experience of in-house design & build! What a ride!

Believe me, I have served on the other side, bar back, bar service, front line food, floor staff, kitchen porter & what a team… glad to say I have worked in an industry that is both hard & rewarding… working with my current projects & clients, epic!

Bartlett ID full design & build. I was the Landlord & License Holder, absolutely bonkers! This was a labour of love, supported by chef David Blackhall ( on the tools throughout) & Steve x2 & Peter & team (the roofer). Credit to all involved! Jumped through hoops on this during Lockdown then ran the business for a further 1.5 years…

It’s been some time since the purchase & design/build but can now say, thanks and a bloody good well done to new owners!

I will be knocking out some further posts on this ( labour of love) project through the next following weeks. Concentrating on various design aspects & such.
Pictures speak best. The Snug, tight round the corner but what a location, dog friendly & unique.

Free Hold pub, investment & sold for design in house… it’s down to the details…profit!
Call me, get in touch! Have the knowledge!

Thanks
