⭐ Featured on the cover: Qing Ping Taiji

Qing Ping Taiji offers open level classes where anyone can join. Taiji/Taichi (太極) or Taijiquan (太極拳) is a Chinese martial art known for its slow, graceful movements. It is rumored to have origins dating back approximately 2000 years. However, according to recorded history, Taiji began in the Chen village around the 1600s. There are many styles of Taiji but only five are officially recognized: Chen (陳) as the original style, Yang (杨), Wu (吴), Wu (武), and Sun (孫).

Taiji is translated as the Supreme (太) Ultimate (極). These two characters represent the study of Yin (陰) and Yang (陽) philosophy and theory . With the addition of the third character Quan (拳), which represents fist, Taijiquan is known as the physical practice of Yin and Yang. In the West, we colloquially refer to Taiji as the slow-moving exercise that can be seen in the morning practiced by many senior citizens at the local park. However, the practice isn’t limited to just the elderly. Anyone can practice Taiji and reap from many of its benefits. Taiji is known to have many health benefits, such as improved balance and stability, cardiovascular health, psycho-emotional health, and many others. It is known for its ability to harmonize the mind, body, and spirit.

The season changes. Your habits should too. 🍂

In Ayurveda, the transition into autumn is associated with Vata - the qualities of movement, coolness, dryness, and change.

As the rhythms of nature shift, so do our needs. What felt nourishing during the warmth and activity of summer may no longer offer the same support as we move into autumn.

This is where Ritucharya, the Ayurvedic practice of seasonal living, invites us to pay attention. Perhaps it’s warmer meals, more consistent routines, grounding movement, or creating space for intentional rest. Everyone’s needs are so unique.

These aren’t necessarily dramatic changes. They’re thoughtful adjustments that help us remain connected to the rhythms of our inner and outer nature.

Balance isn’t a fixed destination. It’s an ongoing practice of awareness and adaptation.

🌿 Ground + Gather Retreat was created with this philosophy at its heart.

Join us November 6–8 in Idyllwild, California, for a 2-night seasonal retreat rooted in rest, rhythm, and reconnection.

An opportunity to step away from familiar routines, reconnect with yourself, and explore what it means to move with the season rather than against it.

✨ Explore the retreat through the link in bio.

A higher price doesn’t always mean “more expensive.” Sometimes, it means more time, more skill, and more story behind the piece. 🌿
That’s the beauty of handmade.
