ART X TEXT closes today and I am beyond proud to have been able to curate a show with @transartfest featuring so many artists I love, admire, and am honored to be in community with. As transgender people, the words we are assigned and used to describe ourselves, our work, and our community are constantly evolving. To be able to invite others into the experience of our bodies is an intimate and beautiful gift and I love being an artist and curator. Thank you to everyone who made it possible, to everyone who contributed to the show in every way, and to my wonderful family and my angel @ellistucci without whom I would not have had the support to will this show into existence. Thank you @carter_shocket for creating this phenomenal festival. I love you all so very much.

THIS SATURDAY 5/16, A very special, bucolic World Transsexual Forum is happening at the Target Brooklyn Community Garden in Bed Stuy. We will be interviewing @feministpress author @alice_stoehr about Again, Harder, the beautiful, bracingly realistic midwestern trans short story collection with the "cool furry art" cover.

It's the same transsexual intellectual open-mic-and-discussion experience you have come to expect but in a scenic community park and garden. Bring your public thinking skills!! (And writing)

It's part of @transartfest -- a 2 month festival of trans art, the first of its kind (and it's happening now!!!!)

Time: 3-5pm! (Open mic sign up at 2:30)
(Rain date: Sunday 5/17)

WE'RE OPENING IN TEN DAYS!! IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT THE OPENING BELOW!

We're beyond excited to see you all for the opening of our show Hearth and Home! The opening will be a satellite opening in conjunction with our sister gallery @pushup.gallery on Saturday May 16th from 6-9 pm at 94 Bogart Street. The exhibition will then be at Third Story for the rest of the month!

RSVP for the opening at this link: https://partiful.com/e/IDiJVXkRph69eBJaWvV1?c=7JxPWWlD

Hearth and Home is an art exhibition at Third Story Gallery from May 17th- May 31st as a part of the programming of the @transartfest. The show brings together six different artists whose work reframes the conception of a home: from a place to inhabit, to a thing that is practiced or embodied instead of occupied. It is born of the people we love, the communities that we build and maintain, and the rituals that we inherit, amend, and begin.

We're excited to see you all there!

We’re open 1-6 today, come see Radiant Remains by @haskelldraws . This is Khae’s second solo exhibition at our gallery. The exhibition will run thru June 1st with an opening reception on Friday April 24th from 7-9pm.

The body of work is a visual expedition of perception in nature. Focusing on illustrating elements of decomposition, the artist uses various forms of drawing to create sculptural illuminated collages that incorporate natural and synthetic materials, and neon.

OPENING TOMORROW! @established_gallery_
@transartfest

Just finished installing Radiant Remains at Established Gallery. It was a complex installation, but fun and exciting. I continue to challenge myself, it's part of the process.

Join us tomorrow night, Friday April 24th from 7 to 9 at Established Gallery as part of Trans Art Fest, and experience the exhibition in the dark.

Also, a very special thanks to my amazing partner @_aliciasavage for being my installer, driver, curator, moral support, documentarian, and chef during this production time. It would have been incredibly challenging without your support.

Hope to see you soon!
