This time every year, you know where to find me — @essencefest with my @talentactivated team 🖤✨
_
I attended #EssenceFest for the first time when I was 11 years old. The beginning. I’ve attended at least 25. I’ve worked the last 6. On the floor. On the frontlines. Amongst the people. The whole experience means so much to me as a truly full circle, sometimes out of body, moment to know that you are able to to do the work God has chosen you to do, for fun. I’ve seen the evolution of the vision realized and that’s the most beautiful part of it all.

Essence the festival is a BEAST of an event. It is a grueling few (20,000+ steps per) days that takes a HUGE amount of talented creatives to make it all work. Our team is a huge part of the consumer experience and I am immensely proud of how we show up year over year with @tammy_sosa and @crystal.d.mcdonald at the helm. Even with the challenges we face, as a team, I’m thankful to be in the number.

Cheers to completion, legacy, grace, accountability, constructive feedback and 2026 🥂✨

There she is—standing on the edge of the world, the wind catching her dress like she’s straight out of a dream. But this isn’t just a vacation. This isn’t just a cute picture for the ’gram. This is a declaration.

A declaration that she is no longer waiting for the “perfect time.” That she is done shrinking, settling, and second-guessing herself. That she refuses to live a life where she only watches other women live boldly while she sits on the sidelines.

Because the truth? This moment almost didn’t happen.

She almost let guilt, fear, and that little voice whispering “Maybe next year” talk her out of it. But then she remembered—life doesn’t wait. The woman she’s becoming doesn’t wait. And sis, neither should you.

So here’s your sign: Get on the plane. Take the risk. Say YES to yourself. The version of you that’s standing on the other side of fear? She’s already there, waiting. And let me tell you—she looks GOOD.

And if you’re still on the fence about joining us in St. Maarten, July 6–10… girl, just get off and COME! Your future self will thank you. ✨

Drop a ‘YES’ if you’re done waiting and ready to step into HER.

We Stand on Their Shoulders

When I think about my mom’s generation, my grandmother’s struggles, and my great-grandmother’s sacrifices, I’m humbled. They dreamed of the life we now live. Owning homes, building careers, traveling the world—luxuries they worked tirelessly to make possible for us.

But let me ask you this: do you pause to honor them? Do you dig deep daily, carry gratitude in your heart, and truly embrace the gift of freedom they fought for?

Every plane ticket, every key in the door, every bold move we make is their legacy in action. Don’t take it for granted. Live fully. Love deeply. Dream bigger. They paved the way. Let’s make them proud.

Tag someone you’re thankful for. ❤️

I am constantly surrounded by love. My Sister-Friends are a gift. They love ALL of me freely and fully. We’ve always been this way, and we always will.
