Backstory:
At Classic Camp in 2023 + 2024, we got to feature the gals of @grand.exit (@mockingbirdmomma and @chelsfuller) leading one of their signature workshops, Dreaming of Your Dying, as part of our personal development programming.

In some ways, it might seem weird to bring *death* into @campowerment’s life-enhancing agenda, but when you think further, it was really our missing piece: because our dying isn’t separate from our living; it’s an inevitable part of it, and if we’re going to spend all this time, effort and delicious creativity on how we live our life in a way that honors who we really are, then WTF are we thinking *not* taking a lil’ time to dream about our death?! Don’t we want that major life milestone (the doorway between our life and legacy) to honor who we really are, too?

We dk about you but we’re absolutely SURE we want to live as US until our last breath. So, dreaming of our dying became a really freaking powerful exercise for the few dozen women at camp who felt the same.

Sure, there were tears, but we can promise there was laughter in equal measure. There was surprise, too — the kind that comes when we give ourselves the opportunity to be outside the fishbowl of our own lives in the moment, and really see what’s inside, and how we feel about that.

So when we were kids growing up on a horse ranch in #Novato California, my sister Susie really wanted to learn to cut hair so when our good friend Corey said she needed a haircut, she told her that she cut my hair all the time. Corey soon found out that was very very far from the truth. 🤣

Cut to #cancer - next week they are going to blast me with some serious chemo and I will definitely be losing my hair so I thought why not? Susie finally got to cut my hair. And you know what? I don’t hate it. Thanks @transformationjunkie for being the best sister ever even when you lie 😊❤️🦋💚🐶

El muchacho la agarró rápido !! No me hizo faltar explicar mucho a mi hijo de 6 años movimientos de cámara, cuando de repente estaba apoyando el hombro y haciendo movimientos en diagonal ! Happy 60th to my baby sister. I even let her have a better photo than me cause that’s the kind of sister I am 🤪🎂 I don’t know how I got so lucky to have a best friend and a sister. I don’t know what I would do without her. @transformationjunkie
