There was a time I didn’t know how to love the body God gave me. Today, I’m caring for the woman He carried through it all. 🤍

@transformchurchnj @resilientwoman_nj retreat reminded me how much we need sisterhood. Women seeking God, healing, asking questions, and becoming. Every woman I met welcomed me with warmth. We prayed over each other, spoke into each other’s lives, and made room for one another without judgment.

If you’ve followed my journey, you know I share my lows as openly as my highs. Looking back, even when I felt alone, God was there. In my joy. In my suffering. In the moments I didn’t know how I would get through.

My journey with mental health, wellness, and self-love. Fitness helped me find discipline and balance. Today, I move for health, longevity, and love for this body.

Then Pastor called for volunteers. I’m actually shy, but my cousin said, “Go, cuz!” So I went… without knowing what I’d signed up for. 😂

A squat competition.

I carry a knee injury from the abuse I survived in my 20s. On that first squat, my knee locked and buckled. I lost my balance, readjusted, and modified my stance.

There was something familiar in that moment: having to adjust how I stood so I could keep going.

My legs were trembling. Cabin FIVE started chanting for me. 🥹 Sometimes your sisters lend you strength while you’re trying to find your own.

I thought about the younger me who carried so much. How God helped her through things she couldn’t see a way out of. I carried her with me through those final moments, until I was the last one standing.

I left with a beautiful tote bag and a joy that reached somewhere deeper than winning.

I share this for the woman who recognizes herself in where I’ve been. Healing takes time. Make room for grace, take the next step in faith, and let people love you along the way.

You don’t have to walk alone. I can see now that I never did. 🙏

✨ RESILIENT WOMAN: THE WEEKEND — UNLOCKED & TRANSFORMED! 🙌🏽💕🔥

What an AMAZING weekend in the presence of God! 🥹❤️ The Holy Spirit moved in ways I can’t even put into words. I experienced breakthroughs, healing, surrender, and an unlocking of things I didn’t even realize were holding me back.

But my biggest takeaway is that freedom isn’t just a weekend experience… it’s a DAILY commitment! 🌿

God reminded me that in order to truly grow and walk in His purpose, I must allow Him to prune my life DAILY. Letting go of what no longer serves His purpose, even when it’s uncomfortable.

I’m still imperfect, still growing, and still a work in progress, but I am forever HIS! ❤️

I cannot wait to continue this journey of faith, serving my Lord and Savior with a renewed heart and a deeper love for Him.

The weekend may be over, but the transformation is FOREVER! 🙌🏽🔥 Thank you pastor @miriamvfleming for loving us the way that you do.

🌸 Unlocked. Surrendered. Being Pruned. Forever His.

“Every branch that bears fruit he prunes, that it may bear more fruit.” — John 15:2 🌿

And then, the Lord answered my prayer😭. Truly, the Lord does HEAR our prayers and this right here is proof. Don’t lose faith in the waiting. He is so good! I’m feeling so overwhelmed with joy, grateful, and excited for my mom for making this decision to boldly declare her faith in Jesus.

The Lord is doing a new thing. And I can’t wait to see what He has in store.🫶🏻

Resilient Woman: RW The Weekend 🤍

For so many years, I believed I wasn’t worthy of love, acceptance, or care. I felt unseen, unwanted, and unimportant.

I built walls to protect myself from being hurt again, but in the process, I allowed bitterness, resentment, and anger to take root in my heart. I was so focused on how unfair my childhood was, on the things I endured and the ways I was hurt, that I didn’t realize I was bleeding on people who never caused my wounds.

This weekend, God opened my eyes to three things:

1. What He is doing in my life right now.
2. What He will make out of everything I’ve been through.
3. That He has ALWAYS been there. In my suffering, my anger, my pain, and my heartache. He saw it all, and He met me right where I was.

For so long, I was angry with God, asking, “Why me? Why did I have to go through all of this?” But this weekend, I was reminded that although I cannot change what happened to me, I can choose who I become because of it. And I cannot wait to see how God will use my story for His glory.

Jesus, I am READY. It aches and brings me joy to know that You were there, even in my darkest moments. You protected me, set me apart, and called me by name.

Help me grow in You, serve You, and use my life however You see fit. Let my life be a testimony of the one true God, whose love and kindness are incomparable.

I spent so long feeling unseen, bitter, and like I didn’t belong. Yet this weekend, God surrounded me with women who prayed for me, walked alongside me, and cheered me on without even knowing my story.

He began healing my relationship with Him and with the church. He opened my heart to new people, new experiences, and the possibility that maybe, just maybe, I really am loved and cared for.

I have no words for what I experienced this weekend. My soul feels lighter, and my heart is full of hope for what’s to come.

I cannot change my past, but I trust the One who holds my future. 🤍

Jesus, I’m ready for the new thing You’re doing in my life.

I can’t wait to witness the miracles You will continue to do in my life and in the lives of every woman who attended RW The Weekend.

All glory to God. ✨
