As Victoria Police pull out of an upcoming pride march, a nation-wide survey has found a majority of the queer community support the inclusion of police at LGBTQ+ events.

However, young, trans and gender diverse people are least supportive of police involvement.

Jess is still working on getting the website to show you the collages we displayed at @brickvention on the weekend.

In the meantime, our popular Pride hearts are all available via our website. We happily offer free collection from our Preston studio, so you can save on postage.

Our pride hearts and other items will be at @gippsland_pride this weekend, as part of the Trans Makers Market stall. This is run by @transgendervic and showcases trans & gender diverse artists work to the wider community.

This International Pride Month, celebrate LGBTIQA+SB communities by taking action.

It is a month to celebrate LGBTIQA+SB people, and for LGBTIQA+SB people to come together and connect with community.

It is also a time to acknowledge those who came before and the ongoing struggle for LGBTIQA+SB rights and freedom.

Pride Month commemorates the Stonewall Riots that took place in New York City on June 28, 1969. We continue to be inspired by the power the riots had in changing LGBTIQA+SB human rights forever.

While progress has been made, we have a lot more work to do to see true equality for LGBTIQA+SB people.

This Pride Month, take action by:

• uplifting LGBTIQA+SB movements and grassroots initiatives
• finding new ways to celebrate and support LGBTIQA+SB people and community
• learning more about LGBTIQA+SB history
• supporting LGBTIQA+SB small businesses and for purpose organisations.

On such a frosty morning it was lovely to attend the vibrant and quirky @standrewsmarket! A mix of handmade crafts, pre-loved goods, bohemian wares and artisanal food, all set against a stunning bushland backdrop, the market was a delightful way to spend a Saturday morning 🤗 if you attend, be sure to bring cash, and wear your woollens during the winter months! #fourmarketeers #marketsvictoria #craftmarket

🌈 Primary care practitioners and services providing affirming care for LGBTQIA+ communities
🌈 LGBTQIA+ health practitioners about your experiences in primary care

Your insights are invaluable in helping us improve primary care for everyone. 🌈✨

Trans Day Of Visibility (31 March) is an annual international celebration of trans pride and awareness that recognises trans and gender-diverse experiences and achievements while raising awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.

Here are a few advocates, activists and communities that have - without a doubt - improved trans visibility, appreciation and understanding here in Australia and beyond.

Who else should be in this post? We’d love to continue celebrating and amplifying trans messages beyond #TransDayOfVisibility #TDOV

Post description: A series of colourful posts that celebrates trailblazers in the trans community ahead of Trans Day of Awareness on March 31st. It features Bree Gorman, Eliott Page, Marsha P Johnson, AJ Clementine, local bar owner Brett Latham and Transgender Victoria
