POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Six years of care. Six years of courage. Six years of community. 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈💗

What started as a vision has grown into something so much bigger. A community built on trust, compassion, authenticity, and the belief that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, respected, and supported.

Today, TransClinique celebrates 6 incredible years of providing gender-affirming healthcare, and none of this would have been possible without the people who make our mission meaningful every single day.

To our patients, thank you for trusting us with your journeys. Your courage, your stories, and your trust inspire everything we do.

To our incredible team, thank you for the compassion, dedication, and heart you bring to this mission.

YOU ROCK 💪🏼

And to Dr. Alexis Petra, thank you for your vision, leadership, and unwavering commitment to making affirming healthcare more accessible.

Six years later, our mission remains the same: to provide compassionate, inclusive, accessible care where every patient knows they belong.

Here’s to the lives we’ve touched, the community we’ve built, and the beautiful future still ahead.

Happy 6th Anniversary, TransClinique! 🎂✨

The best is still ahead. 💗

For Our Co-Founders, Deathaversery, we uplift the Legendary Miss Major Griffin-Gracy.

For the scorpio month, we will uplift her and Alex Lee's History as both scorpios!

To start us off, Fun Fact: The photo of Mama Major in green is one of major’s favorite photos and it was taken by her now widower, Beck Major. He would flirt and talk about how much he loves her.

“For a long time, as Black Trans people, we don't celebrate, we just be busy doing the work.” - Ms. Janetta Johnson, TGIJP CEO

Join us November Friday the 13th at El Rio for a celebration of all things Scorpio!

At Miss Major & Alex Lee TGIJP’s Black Trans Cultural Center, we are hosting a celebration that’s everything and anything Scorpio! From our cofounder and legend Miss Major, to our current CEO Janetta Johnson, to numerous TGIJP icons past and present, Scorpios run it all! Celebrate Scorpio season and abolitionist organizing with us as we raise funds for our Black Trans-led programs!

This event is about raising what the bottom looks like for our community as #MamaMajorTaughtUs, to pull the girls out from under the bus.

ATTIRE: Dress to impress your favorite scorpio! ♏️💫

🏳️‍⚧️💗 LGBTQ+ HISTORY MONTH SPOTLIGHT:

LOU SULLIVAN (1951–1991) 🌈✨

History is shaped by those who dare to live authentically, challenge expectations, and create space for others to do the same.

This LGBTQ+ History Month, TransClinique proudly honors Lou Sullivan, a groundbreaking gay transgender man, writer, and activist whose courage helped transform transgender visibility and advocacy.

💙 Breaking Barriers: Lou challenged the medical establishment’s belief that transgender men had to be heterosexual, advocating for the recognition of gay trans men and their right to live authentically.

🩷 Building Community: In 1986, he established a support group in San Francisco that would grow into FTM International, creating connections and resources for transgender men.

🤍 Preserving Our History: Through decades of personal diaries and writings, Lou documented his experiences with gender identity, sexuality, love, community, and health, leaving behind an invaluable piece of LGBTQ+ history.

🕊️ A Legacy That Lives On: Lou passed away in 1991 at just 39 years old from AIDS-related complications, but his voice, advocacy, and determination continue to inspire generations.

At TransClinique, we believe everyone deserves to be seen, respected, and supported in living authentically. Lou Sullivan’s legacy reminds us why visibility, inclusive healthcare, and community matter.

💖 Thank you, Lou Sullivan, for opening doors and reminding the world that our identities are ours to define.

✨ Swipe through to discover his extraordinary story.

Trans history is LGBTQ+ history. Always. 🏳️‍⚧️

For 25 years and counting, SF Zine Fest houses the oldest and largest festival for DIY (Do-It-Yourself) community creatives, indie artists, writers, publishers, dreamers, and activists in Northern CA. 📒

The 2026 SF Zine Fest was a beautiful kaleidoscope 💎 of heartful expression, pioneering creativity, human vulnerability, community, and strong solidarity: Truly, we are more united than divided in our fight for collective liberation here and everywhere.

Palestinian author and poet, Mahmoud Darwish shared with us, “Poetry and beauty are always making peace.” 🌹 Artist Sierra shared with me a drawing and print of Shí Naashá, a Navajo song that centers hózhǫ́ (beauty) and return to homeland.

May we flourish through art, and may love overflow in all we do. 🦋
