POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Conard Basketball Seniors 2024: Today we recognize Aidan Scully! As one of our captains this year, Scully shined brightest during our biggest games of the year. During our last 8 games of the season (senior night, the Hall game, and our 6 postseason games) he averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 blocks per game and shot a scorching 53.7% from three. On the season, he ranked 6th in three point percentage in program history at 39.8%. Even more importantly, as a culture-setter he will be remembered as someone who worked incredibly hard behind the scenes all 4 years and was almost always the last person to leave practice after getting up extra shots. Thank you for everything @scullyaidan !

Counters To Anchor Crossover Step

Once establishing principles of how to do certain moves and why we do them, you always need to be able to have counters. Counters are important because you always need to have options. After we establish this then we take it to the next level and add a live defender. Keep working!

Curvature Drive to Change of Direction!

Why we do this is to help over train the ability to turn and change the angle of your drive. Anchor the front foot down and doing a crossover step is an effective move. Try this one out !

Split Stance ➡️ Decelerate On Dribble Step

Having the ability to decelerate in different positions is critical to being an effective ball handler. Here we just played with being in this stance and worked on the actions.
